I was nominated and i donated as that's technically how it's supposed to work. Alternately, you could always do it with luke warm water and with only those who know you're pregnant around you?

It's going to be a group thing though, so either I have to sit out completely and come up with a good reason for doing so, or I have to do it at the same time and in the same way as everyone else.

I'd just tell them no and refuse to do it but I'm an unsociable so and so !

I know lots of pregnant people that have done it... But personally I wouldn't do it... Might just be my history but I am not putting myself in situations that can be avoided :)... I am not sure what you could come up with to get out of it without just saying no and giving no reason.

I have no idea if it is or isn't OK but I do know I will not be doing it even if I get nominated. I hate that sort of thing but I am a bit miserable so I'd just refuse and say no. If I agree with the charity I may donate some money anyway if not I won't bother!

Say you're ill on the day you are all meant to do it with short notice so they go ahead and just say you'll donate instead?

I'm sure it's probably fine, other than risking catching a cold or something, but I'd refuse to do it pregnant or not. Call me miserable or whatever but I just don't like things like this. I know it's doing good by raising money but there's just something about it all that I don't like.

I wouldn't do it if I was nominated personally. I'd just ignore it. It's the fact that it's part of an organised social event that we're doing, so if I sit out due to "illness" (which would probably be the most believable excuse), I have to miss the social as well!
