He had 1 big one (scarred now) and another and then nothing Til the next day and then they kept appearing in waves 12 hours later. Took 5 days Til they stopped coming

Hmm. F had 2 appear yesterday but has had nothing since. We saw the GP about something else yesterday but I got her to take a look whilst we were there and she thought they looked like CP spots. She said if only 2 appear then it's not CP but I don't know what to do about sending him to nursery today.

L has got them currently the first one was spotted last friday but the rest he didnt get until sun -mon, he has had a really mild case and there all pretty much crusted over now.

I wouldn't send to nursery if they could potentially be cp, the gp said they look like them but wasn't sure so nursery doesn't seem
Appropriate If its an unexplained rash.
L had a mild case was fine, one or 2 spots then within 48 hours he had about 20 spots and then they went a few days later

Ok so I took him reasons being the 2 spots from yesterday have virtually disappeared and he seems fine in himself. Perhaps I shouldn't have sent him but I'm just going to have to live with my decision. He'd have picked it up from there anyway because they said a boy in his class came down with it and others have since so at least, if it ends up being cp, I haven't introduced into the nursery. It's so hard to know what to do for the best sometimes.

It sounds like what the doctor told me isn't strictly true then. Great, I feel bad now.

It's not about introducing it to the nursery, they advise those with cp to stay away as repeated exposure reduces people immunity iyswim. So for example even though I'm immune to cp on my bloods I'm not allowed to see rashes at work as repeated cp exposure will reduce my immunity ( confusing but hope it makes a bit if sense), hopefully its 'just' a rash, and nursery were obviously happy to take him with the rash so I wouldn't worry about it, nursery staff see a lot of rashes so they would have said they couldn't take him if they were concerned dont worry.
Hope it goes as quickly as it appeared x
