hi! unsure how many other mummies will be awake now :-) ice just joined this forum. My baby will be ten weeks old tomorrow and he's my first. Am finding being a new mummy hugely daunting and constantly panicking over his temperature, how much he's eating, weeing and pooing And more recently worrying about SIDS. Completely unablle to sleep tonight because I'm so terrified he will stop breathing. I don't think he's been very well since this weekend, he's been very irritable, usually is quite smiling during the day but I haven't had a smile for days now. Today he has cried and fed almost constantly. Does it get any easier? I feel like I am a really over paranoid mum but I can't help it, I am so petrified that something will happen to him. Thanks for taking the time to red this.

Welcome to motherhood, those fears are normal! I'm sure you're doing brilliantly and he's absolutely fine. Lots of feeding can indicate a growth spurt so just go with it. Regarding SIDS, follow the guidelines so that you know you are doing everything you can to prevent it. And welcome to MD x

Welcome to MD! Mu daughter is about the same age and sometimes they just have periods of being grumpy! White Sparkles is right about the growth spurt and SIDS, as long ad you are following guidelines there is nothing more you can do - it is scary though!

Welcome to MD! All your fears are totally normal- I had the same and also fears about dropping him/leaving him/someone stealing him from the pram and me not noticing and a hundred others, unfortunately it's all part of being a mum! It will get easier, as others have said make sure you follow the guudelines so you know you are doing everything you can.

Sounds like you are a normal new mum!
Ill echo what the others have said - sounds like a growth spurt and following the SIDS guidelines is all you can do.
Welcome to MD x
