It's doable, L was brilliant and no bother at all. The sterilising of her bottles was easy and she continued to sleep through the night even though she had so many layers on. O, on the other hand, decided to throw tantrum after tantrum. Despite that, we had a lovely time and expect to go camping again in the summer holidays.
It looks like it was busy weekend so I'm off to catch up with everything.

Glad it went well, mostly! We are going camping in the summer i think so it's good to know it can be done with small people!

It's good fun! L had so many layers on - a vest, sleep suit, fleece hoodie, 2.5 tog growbag and a folded over blanket, as well as socks on her hands to keep them warm. She didn't complain and the nights were cold (other campers saying it was the coldest they had experienced for this time of year!). Windbreaks are a must as they'll contain P to one area, this was the source of many tantrums for O as he wanted to wander off. That being said, he did enjoy himself immensely as we went for walks through the forest and he loved looking at everything,

That's a good tip thanks!! Hopefully the nights won't be as bad come August. What sort of tent do you have? Did you have them between you in the same compartment?

We've got a 6-man tent, as we wanted one for the long term, and all shared on of the bedrooms. H and I were on a double air bed, O was on a children's one and L was in the travel cot (I forgot to add that I put a folded camping mat and blanket in the bottom of this to keep her warm from the cold floor). It was a squeeze but it worked. We used the other bedroom as storage to stop O getting into everything.

Sounds like a good time was had by all. We are hoping to continue camping when the baby arrives. Although we have to travel by train, so maybe interesting with camping equipment and baby!
