P is 15 months today. About 6weeks/1month ago she dropped to one nap a day, usually after lunch and for about 2 hours. A couple of weeks ago she went back to two a day and for last few days to a week she's gone back to 3!
She has always needed a lot of sleep. She has done 13hours a night since she was 10 weeks and still does, only very rarely disrupted if she's ill or getting teeth. This sudden need for more naps in the day has surprised me a bit though. She has also always eaten a lot but at the moment is throwing back foor faster than i can shovel it in!!
Do both of these sound developmental do you think? She's not walking properly yet. She took 4 balanced, unaided steps about 3 weeks ago and will take a couple here and there between things but that's it. She stands unaided for ages and will drink and eat stood by herself. She can also get up to standing without holding anything too but will she walk without holding our hands?! Nope!! Perhaps all the sleep means she's about to?!
For example today. Slept 6pm-7.20am this morning. Napped from 9-10am. Another nap 12.30-2.30 and went back up to bed after falling asleep on me at 3.30. I'll wake her by 4.30. She has eaten 1.5 weetabix with 2xpetit filous and a banana for breakfast. Rice cakes and a couple of slices of cheese mid morning. Chilli with spagetti and veg followed by a plum and a rice pudding pot for lunch. A slice of malt loaf and an orange mid-afternoon!

Isaac is down to one nap a day but he and his friends have turned absolutely vile, tantrums, food refusal, etc all sat and most of sun he just ate sweet corn but last night had MASSES of food. I think any change is developmental. Before this vile phase he slept quite a bit but is now waking 4/5 times a night shouting for a banana/toast/biscuit I'm sure since p Is the female Isaac then she will be doing that next month. Isaac spent about 3 months standing eating unaided

Oooo well that's something to look forward to then! A couple of weeks ago we had about a week of her waking quite a bit but i put it down to teeth.
I remember you saying about him just standing around for ages too! They really are the same! She'll stand for ages eating, drinking, dancing, laughing. Up and down without holding onto anything or any support. I've got friends with walking LOs who can't do that! But she is happy just stood there apparently!!! She'll charge around holding just one of our hands or her walker but rest of the time she speed crawls.

Isaac would actually ru. Whilst holding the furniture/his doll and pram etc but if u let go he gracefully put himself on the floor! He stood with a hot x bun in one hand and a drink in the other for ages totally unaided! He could stand from sitting which a few of his walker friends couldn't do! It was vvvv frustrating! Now.....I'm literally tearing my hair out as he charges EVERYWHERE! He climbes everywhere I and did I mention he's totally vile! His main diet is either peas or sweet corn! O and Thomas pasta shapes!

I blame any changes on development or teeth.
N has started with the temper tantrums. Full on going limp, screeching, legs not working. He also throws his food everywhere and laughs when we say no. Argh! He's also learnt to climb and looks so proud when he's got up on our bed or the sofa.
Good thing we love him!

O Lll you appear to have just described Isaac
See my rant in OT, iv a feeling my alcohol intake will be increasing rapidly

Ahhhh the laughing at no. Yep, we're familiar with that one!!!

15 months here too and all of the above sound familiar!!! Well fingers crossed for us he IS actually sleeping in day and well at night but that's only SINCE he started walking last month. Think he's so exhausted from it all but am sure we'll be back to no sleep soon enough!!! We never really had tantrums will L but K seems to have decided to make up for her lack of them! -although lord help me when she's a teenager as she's def starting the teenage strops early!! - don't know which child is worse tbh as at least I can blame lack of understanding/able to communicate for k's tantrums!! Kids eh!

I am hoping for an increase in sleep soon then...O is currently at the "phase" (please say it's a phase!) of not wanting to go to bed at bedtime despite clearly being tired half hour before....ibstead he charges round the living room blowing raspberries!! ....and a 5.20 wake up today, seriously??? Haha! Little monkey!

All familiar here too - except the extra sleep! I did find she slept a *bit* more just before she started walking though.(she didn't do the standing/couple of steps thing though - just stood up and walked ten steps one day out of the blue)
She is a climber and stroppy madam too - always wanting something random and shouting and pointing until you give it to her (and it's never a toy, usually a full glass of wine, fetl tip pen, knife or other really unsuitable item).
Why do they call it terrible twos when it starts at15 months?

Oh yes SL, we have the shouting and pointing and stamping until she gets something she wants. Again it's always what she shouldn't have, she is rarely interested in things she is given.
Her favourite trick currently is climbing up onto the bottom step, laying along it and then rolling onto the floor. Usually hitting her head on the wooden floor but laughs everytime without fail!

N woke up at 2am this morning! Threw all his toys out the cot and screeched until he got some milk. Then wanted to play. We did not play.
