I can't help I'm afraid but just wanted to wish you luck tomorrow and hope it goes smoothly x

I can't help on the extra risks with your previous deliveries but good luck for the induction! I was told that most people being induced with second babies don't usually have the drip as they can dilate enough with the gels or are already dilated enough to reach the waters to break (that's what my induction leaflet said anyway) x

Trifle, I just had 3 induction attempts and a tricky delivery. And I have no love for the syntocin (other than without it I'd have been in theatre having a CS). I'm no use, I'm sorry.
But huge huge luck for tomorrow. It should be fine, second time around, that's the general rule. Try and keep us posted? Will be thinking of you x

No advice I'm afraid but wishing you a smooth birth x

I think they try pessary or gel first if they need to get the cervix softening and starting to dilate, it's unusual to start on syntocin. Also I suppose in theory you could refuse the drip.
I had the drip with my daughter and I was fine. I subsequently had a pph after an erpc so there's just no reason to it. Plus when I had my section I was told they'd start drip to make uterus contract after delivery. So it can be used to minimize bleeding too?
Whatever happens I hope it's straightforward for you x

Ooh!! Exciting stuff :)

Good luck Trifle!!
I had the drip with Molly and will be having it again with this baby, but as weekender mentioned there is another drip they can give you immediatly after delivery which will stop any issues. speak to them about this anyway if you are worried in anyway about PPH xxx

Awww I think from reading other ladies stories on here that labour often is a slow process and nowhere near as exciting as you expect it to be. I hope baby surprises you and doesn't keep you waiting too much longer -hug- x
