I'm 29 weeks pregnant and am experiencing the worst for of insomnia. I'm lucky to get an hours sleep at not and often don't sleep at all. I have restless legs and they just play up so bad at night. Have been to doc who has tried various forms of medication which havnt worked. I'm starting to feel so hopeless about the situation, it is difficult as I also have a sprightly 4 year old boy to look after. Is anyone else experiencing this same thing, or does anyone have suggestions on how to help? Would be most grateful

Hi Shannic. YES! I'm 28 weeks today and been suffering with insomnia for the past few weeks. No restless legs though, just the insomnia. I don't remember this the first time around. I remember tossing and turning and trying to get comfortable but this time it's different...I just can't get to sleep! so frustrating isn't it?!

I can so relate! From vritually the moment I was pregnant, I could not sleep. I honestly think it's the body's way of getting u used to all the sleepless nights and being up and down with a newborn! It will make the babys night feeding easier I'm sure. at least you'll have a good reason for wakening up - seeing your wee baby :)
