To be completely freaking out?
We went for our initial GP apt this morning (no surprise Blood pressure was quite high), I cried most of it - nice touch, pregnancy wasn't planned and realty wasn't in "our plan" - I'm having waves of (tiny excitement), next moment thinking is this really the right thing, followed by feelings of intense guilt - is this standard procedure or am I way of mark? OH is also very worried about his age - 45 and being a first time dad, which isnt helping tbh.

Yep. I think it's often a reality even for a planned and longer for pregnancy and def normal for a surprise.
My no 3 was a surprise. She's now 20 weeks and such a wonderful little person we have actually said if we had the time again we would plan to have her. She just fits and makes our family complete.
It's a shock to the system but you will be ok, really you will xx

My first was a surprise. I was 18, didn't want kids, and had a meltdown when the Dr told me I was pg. Even more so, when he told me I was 16 weeks...
He's 9 now, and despite not being ready at the time for him to come in to my life, he actually MADE my life.
If I could go back and change things, I wouldn't. I never wanted to be a Mum, but it turned out to be the best thing i've ever done with my life.

Thanks ladies, it just feels so odd voicing concerns - like I should be just jumping around for joy. TBH probably related to my liking to be organised and maybe when I feel a bit more in control (this is only day 3 of knowing!) hopefully things will improve xxx

Completely normal!! My 3rd was a surprise and I burst into tears when I found out because my youngest at the time was only 8 months old (I was 4 months preg before I found out) and I also had a 3 year old, I honestly thought I'd never cope. Now I can't imagine life without her.

I am currently 36wks with our unplanned #2. I only found out when I was about 9/10wks too. All your reactions sound completely normal, and exactly how I felt, and still feel some days - there'll be between 17/18m between our 2 and I have no idea how we will cope, physically, mentally and financially, but all I know is that elvis is coming, and we've just got to do our best for him!
Congrats, btw x

BW there is 20 months between my 2&3 so similar to you and actually it's been much easier than I expected it to be. I found 38weeks pregnant with a toddler much harder than toddler and a baby. x
