L will be 4 1/2 in september when this baby is born. Is it worth me getting a buggy board to attach to the pram as she will have just started school and I am sure that on the walk home from school she might get a bit tired.
Would it be worth it? any suggestions? she is really good at walking generally, but i am sure there will be moments when she wants to rest.

I wouldn't bother with that age gap personally. I had one when Jacob was born (2y7m age gap) and it was really useful for a year max, when he could walk reliably all the time. By the time we stopped it was such hard work for me to push with him on that I was encouraging him to stop using it. I still have mine for this time but I'm not going to bother putting it on the pram until we see how we get on.

Meant to ask, how far is the walk? Ours is half a mile to school and both boys manage it well, Jacob does 2 miles a day with drop off and pick up and can easily do it at not quite 3.

We used our buggy board a lot from 2 1/2 to 3 1/2. She's just turned 4 and it hasn't been used for ages. She takes her scooter if its a longer walk

We used it a lot when he was 3 but it has sat unused for quite a long time now. He is 4y 8m. I can't actually remember when we last used it.
Partly because my daughter who is 2y 10m refuses to go in the pushchair so now we all walk everywhere, which can be slow!

We will have a 4 year age gap and am keeping the spare seat on our Phil and Teds! Not for the school run as she will scoot or cycle but for the times when we are out and about for the day and she gets tired, I.e. If we were out shopping or went for a day trip. I am hoping it's rare she will use it but it's there just in case. I would consider getting a board, could you get a 2nd hand one?

We have a 3 year gap and have not needed one

I would say no unless you could pick one up second hand - I have a Lascal Mini I will be getting rid of once I find the connectors if you're interested. I had a very similar age gap between E and big C, E never needed a buggy board.
I'd recommend a Micro Scooter. C loves using his on the school run, though I am clinging onto the bee for as long as possible for my shopping!

At 4.5 years I wouldn't bother. We had one when my eldest was 19 months and just had a new born. My eldest is now 3.5 and hardly use it he prefers to walk

I'd go with a micro scooter or bike for the school run. Our school gas a bike park so I plan on A cycling and leaving her bike there. l can go on his as well back and forward and ill sling the baby when the time comes.

Thanks girls. The walk is only 15 mins max. We have a scooter that she uses so will just stick to that.
Shh, if you're going to get rid of it then I will take it from you, sure, you never know do you!
