So E is 2, my H and I are thinking about TTC number 2. It took 2.5 years to conceive first time so No idea how long it will take the second time! I was thinking about having my coil taken out soon and then actively trying around November/ December.
I feel like I've forgotten everything baby related! Like I wouldn't even know how to hold a baby!
Does it all cone back?
I want two children but I still don't feel ready, I just know I don't want too much of a big age gap. Has any one else felt like that?

It will all come back, I found myself far more confident the second time around and just went with the flow more than with #1. As for feeling ready, I still felt really panicked when I got BFPs for #2 and #3 even though they were very much wanted, and am excited and nervous about meeting #3 in equal measure.
Good luck when you begin TTC x

Yes it will come back. I felt like this too and when I found out i was pregnant this time it was a very big shock!
L had just turned 4 and whilst originally i didnt want such a big age gap, I am very happy that I have the 4 years between the two.
At the weekend I had to look after my 6 week old niece as her mum went into hospital, so i had to change her and dress her and i just went into overdrive and did it without hesitation. so yes, it really does all come flooding back!

margot - even though number 2 will be planned I still feel nervous! I didn't feel any nerves at all with E! Thank you.
PS - I hope it does all come back! I feel awkward around babies even though I think I was a "natural" mum with E!

I'm hoping it all just comes back, will soon find out. I figure we did ok first time round when I had no experience at all, and it must all be logged up there somewhere (despite baby brain doing it's best to make me forget even my own name) so we'll work it out.
It's the 2 year old I really don't know how to handle!
No-one can tell you what to do wrt when to ttc, for me when it came to it it was more of a head over heart decision as I knew I wanted two and wanted a smallish gap for the future. You'll know when the time is right. I'd be weary of assuming it'll take so long second time round, I know so many people who struggled with #1 then fell instantly with #2.

Yes, it all comes back. I thought I'd be clueless after 7.5years, but thankfully, it came flooding back.

I didn't feel broody at all for #2, but we knew we didn't want a big age gap. It took us a while Ttc #1 so we didn't want to wait too long to Ttc #2, but the minimum age gap we wanted was 21 months. So we Ttc when W turned one. I got pregnant pretty much straight away so will be a 22 month gap. So it was a planned pregnancy but I was very shocked to get a bfp so quickly. Like BG said, it was a head over heart decision for us too. The only reason we choose to Ttc at that time was to have a close age gap for W as both me and H have siblings with bigger gaps. I'm very nervous about how I will manage with two, but more how I will handle a busy toddler and a baby. I felt clueless when pregnant with W but we figured it out as we went along so I'm assuming the same will happen this time.
I'll let you know in 12 weeks!

We have a 4.5 yr age gap and I was surprised how quickly it all came back. Oh, and it took 3.5 yrs to get a BFP with Zoe and one occasion with Noodles, so I wouldn't count on it taking a long time again.
