I know this has been done before but, after a discussion on the 1st tri thread, I've been googling about morning sickness and cravings and whether they relate to boys or girls. There doesn't seem to be any correlation online but I love reading these kinds of stories if anyone wants to share.
With my daughter I had no morning sickness & felt incredibly well although the way through the pregnancy (was sick for 3 days at 6 weeks but I don't think this was pregnancy related). I never really had any cravings but did eat a lot of chocolate & drank a lot of milk (more just I wanted!!). This time round I've felt nauseous most days from around 7 weeks (although only been actually sick twice). I've been craving meat & today I really needed to put salt on my dinner! I'm sure this all amounts to nothing & clearly I'm hoping it all points towards boy after all our hard work gender swaying. Only another 10 weeks till hopefully we find out but just curious..!!

Lucas - intense hunger, vomiting right up to delivery, craved the smell of orange and lavender dettol
William - tired, hunger, vomiting from 3+5 right up to delivery
Isaac - tired, nauseous around 6-10 weeks, itching/restless legs, addicted to the smell of orange and lavender dettol
This time - sore lumpy boobs and tired
My cousin and 2 mums at playgroup had cravings for detrgenty type smells that they had boys too. I think I read somewhere about craving smells was a boy thing

When i was expecting W, i had horrible nausea, kind of like a continuous hangover, but without any relief if i was sick. I craved Orange foods for the first 12 week - Carrots, Tomato Soup, Wozits, Irn Bru (which incidentally is a brilliant remedy for sickness i found) I've always liked the smell of bacon, but never the taste, and i found myself eating bacon sandwiches in my 2nd Trimester. The only 2 cravings i had was once for a pick n mix and once for chippy chips.
I went right off Coffee from when i got my BFP to nearly the 2nd Tri. - I drink Decaff, so it's not like it was the caffine.
I couldn't call if you're having a boy or girl to be honest. My SIL has 2 boys are both of those pregnancies were polar opposites!

RKB: That describes how I've felt exactly, it's like having a constant hangover without all the fun of getting drunk! I've eaten my body weight in wotsits I think! super noodles are another thing that seems to be working for me. I REALLY fancy pork scratchings so gonna text my hubby to pick some up on his way home. It's like my body is missing all the food that was eating when I was actively TTC for a boy - who knows what that means!

With F I felt sick a few times but was never physically sick. I was tired but there's nothing new there! I went off tea for a while and, rather than having cravings as such, I 'fancied' certain things like salt and vinegar crisps and beer!
This time I've been very similar. Felt sick initially but that didn't last long. I feel hungry most of the time and fancy sweet and savoury things. Have been fine with tea too. I've not really come across anything that makes me gag yet.
All in all both pregnancies feel very much the same at the moment. I think I've been pretty lucky symptom wise on both occasions.
ETA with F I fancied McDonald nuggets and chips a lot!

With both of my boys, I craved KFC, and pickled beetroot.
No sickness with C, but quite bad with it when pg with J.

i craved vinegar with both my pregnancies and twixes with my first
sickness wise, i was really sick with my first and was still being set of by certain smells right to the end- mainly alcohol on peoples breath
with my second i wasnt sick much but the smell of raw meat became really strong and made me feel so ill

It's interesting how different we all are.
Red Fraggle I remember your dettol obsession, don't think that's gonna be 1 for me as my heightened smell makes me feel more nauseous with smells similar to that (especially at work).

With O, I was felt nauseous and craved crisps, but with L, I was sick more often and craved chocolate.

I've heard the meat thing about boys. I definitely craved red meat and had a boy but actually think that was more about iron than gender! I had mild nausea but wasn't sick at all and other than the meat, didn't have any 'proper' cravings, more aversions to stuff and 'fancying' more sweet things than usual. So basically I just gave in to my greed ha ha!
It's fun guessing the gender though - hope you get your blue wish!

I craved sweet things and citrus flavours which I've read means girl so it's either hooey or S will be very girly?! I was very nauseous but never sick in 1st tri. I only started being sick in 2nd tri when I ate too much and food would literally fall out of me if I bent over (bleurgh)

Rhema- mild morning sickness in 1st tri, I craved ginger beer.
Amelie- bad morning sickness, craved ice, iced drinks, ice lollies...anything cold!

Nausea from 7-16 weeks with evening sickness for most of that too!
Loved cold orange juice (still do), oranges cut into quarters and sucking the juice, fresh strawberries, grapes and raspberries too. I went off sweet stuff like chocolate (for me anyway! Prior to pregnancy I could have lived on chocolate! My lindt bunny has been in the fridge for two weeks now.... very odd for me.) I used to not be fussed by crisps but love them now. And those mini cheddar things.
So dry, crunchy and salty, or cold, fresh and fruity!
I'm having one of each so a bit useless really.

Thanks ladies, I find it really interesting to hear as some of these go with the old wives tales & some are opposite.
For me, Hubby finally came home with the food I requested about half an hour ago & I'm now on my 3rd packet of pork scratchings!! Whoops. Only time will tell if this is an actual sign. Or maybe it's just a reminder that I've forgotten to take my pregnacare today!

I went off tea and chicken massively, was obsessed with cheese on bread for a good few months! Had bad morning sickness for 18 weeks and had a boy. Had horrific heartburn, so much that I carried gaviscon everywhere with me and just swigged from the bottle and my little boy had a good head of hair on him at birth!

I had a boy and craved LOADS of fruit! I had a lot of nausea but was very rarely sick. Like Noodle, I also had terrible heartburn and my baby was also born with a lot of hair (which has now mostly gone..sob sob)

I had terrible heartburn with J (I should have had shares in Gaviscon), but J was totally bald.
