Hello ladies, my husband and I have been trying for a baby since November, a routine appointment for my smear yesterday actually resulted in finding out that I'm pregnant! We're over the moon and slightly shocked, and I kind of feel in limbo right now! I can't tell anyone as it's very early (clear blue test said 2-3 weeks) so I pretty much came here to be able to talk about it as I feel like I might burst :)

Thanks ladies. Did anyone else feel a bit odd after just finding out? I keep having to remind myself that I am pregnant! Made an appointment to see the midwife which isn't until the end of August, and that just feels like so far away!

I understand the weird feeling. I am very early on too and don't feel any different. Sometimes it feels like I must have been making it up! Come and join us on the 1st tri thread too. Xx

Yeah, I don't feel any different, although now I think about it I have had a couple of symptoms that I had just ignored. Just figuring my way around, I'll pop over on to the 1st tri thread.

Congratulations & welcome to MD. I felt exactly the same, in fact I don't think I fully believed I was actually pregnant 1st time until I felt movement at around 24 weeks, it does take awhile getting your head round it if you've been trying for awhile x

Congratulations! it took us a while for it to sink in. I told my work almost immediately after I found out as I didn't know the process for telling them. Enjoy having this amazing secret for as long as you want to, and you do always have us to chat to if you need to!

Thanks RKB! Telling people is something I'm not sure about. I want to tell my parents and the in-laws and my best friend but trying to keep it as our little secret for a couple more weeks!

We are trying for number 2, and I will be keeping it quiet for a lot longer. It's the one thing I wish I could have done differently the 1st time round.
