I didn't think there were rules; I've avoided it with A so far because I know if I myself eat a whole one, I start to get a sore tingly mouth, so wanted to avoid in case it caused a reaction for him too. I doubt it would cause a choking hazard or anything as they're quite watery aren't they. I love them, just a shame I can't eat a whole one!

Zoe and Orla have both had it from 6 mths. I have never heard of any issues with it.

thanks. still learning about children and oral feeding!
Sasi I get like that with pineapple. there will only be enough for one slice per child (along with some banana and plums) so I don't think the tingle will be an issue.

Oh yes loads of people say that about pineapple but I find them fine. It's weird isn't it! I'm sure the kids will love the kiwi x

Disco had it from 6 months on no issues (well apart frominteresting nappies) but one slice shouldn't have that effect.
