In our ongoing battle to get A to take a bottle and/or a dummy we're going to try latex teats. There's obviously a slight risk of her having an allergy, but would you let this stop you trying? She refuses anything silicone at the moment, and she may also refuse latex, but we running out of other options!

She may have an alergy but the chances are slim and you'll never know if you don't try- I'd just keep an eye on her if you're concerned. Good luck

Isla would only take the old fashioned brown latex teats. We had to take the chance as at 8 months I couldn't feed her anymore so she had to take a bottle. You'll never know unless you try and the bonus with them is you don't sterilise them. Just wash in soapy water x

Oh do you not need to sterilise them? Bonus!

P only likes the TT cherry latex dummies and they have been fine, not sure if it's the material or shape she prefers to others though.

Well not the ones we use (playtex) you have to boil them for five mins before first use but that's it. I accidentally sterilised one before reading the instructions and it melted!!

We went and got the TT cherry ones and she didn't hate it, but didn't really suck on it, although she did fall asleep with it in her mouth - we're yet to discern whether that was a fluke or not
