We currently use disposables -size 2 ASDA Little Angels (she is still quite diddy), recently we have found that at night the nappy is leaking out the top of the nappy (presumably because the nappy is so full). She goes from 6.30pm until 7am in the nappy (don't change her at her 10pm dream feed). We never get leaks in the day.
We have tried going up a size in nappies - this still leaked. We tried putting a next size up nappy over the top of her normal one at night - still leaked.
We are waiting to borrow our local NCT Nappy Library cloth nappy set, and I am guessing that maybe a cloth nappy might be the answer - any suggestions welcome (including which night time cloth nappy to try)

For a night time cloth nappy, I'd try a bamboo one with a wrap over the top. I use Little Lamb bamboo nappies on E at night, but TotsBots Bamboozles are good too.

We use a disposable pampers extra dry at night and that seems to stop any leakages. Can't advise on cloth though I am afraid as not tried them

We used Cloth nappies and I would recommend a 2 part system for night time, the ones where you put a wrap over the top and I would recommend the mother ease wraps

Yep I agree on a two parter for night. I use bamboo little lambs and one of their bomb proof wraps.

Are these wee leaks? We use pampers new baby (even though H is 7 months he's only just moving to size 3 new baby!) and have never had a leak. He wees a lot overnight ad well.
It may be just advertising but I think pampers have an extra core to absorb water so are better for overnight use. I've also seen this in some parenting books to use them overnight if not in the day. H only gets on with them so I've nothing to compare but def no leaks here.

I'd recommend a 2 part cloth nappy for nighttime as well. I use bambino mio wrap (outside waterproof bit that does up like a disposable) and insert (large bit of cloth that you fold into thirds) plus a bamboo booster (looks like a sanitary towel!)

I'd just buy baby dry pampers to use at night in the correct weight size
I've never had leaks in all the years we've used nappies, we've always used pampers baby dry or active fit.

Thanks everyone - it is just wee leaks. I think I will try some pampers at night and wait until I can borrow the nappies to see if cloth will work for us.

We used sposies on holiday and got leaks at night. Presumably as he lays sidewards- leaked out the side. I resorted to using my nappy wrap (cloth) on top of disposable

We use cloth, but tried pampers baby dry for at night when on hols and I had to change her after her dream feed to prevent leaks. The nappies were full and leaking the one night i didn't. At home we use bumgenius nappies in the day ( with an extra booster) and either the BG with 2 bamboo inserts or little lambs bamboo 2 parter with an additional bamboo insert. Both of these combinations work for us. I would use 2 parters every night, but don't have many LL and they take ages to dry so use the boosted BG if they're still damp from the wash. I'm sure there are some LL for sale on the for sale board.

Depends on if you have a fussy bum about being wet? A can't bear to be "damp" so will wake and complain if in a cloth nappy - she complains in the day and i change her much more regularly than a disposable. I do what Missus suggests and put a wrap on top of the size up disposable to avoid night time leaking or wakings

I've tried pampers, Huggies, sainsburys, aldi, kiddicare and most recently cheeky bots from Tesco (£15 for a months supply) and these never leak. They have extra stretchy bits at the legs so if it leaks out the first bit it's captured by the second part.

We use lidl own ones for W and haven't had any problems overnight. Strange question, but are you using any nappy cream? Apparently creams act as a barrier that stops the nappy working properly and causes leakage.

Another vote for pampers here, both girls use them at night with no problems.

We use cloth in the day but pampers baby dry at night for the same reasons as LG. His correct size is probably 4 but I use 5's for night and I've never had a problem, so might be worth going up a size too.

Hmmmm we've had a 50% success rate with Pampers baby dry - the leaks come put the top on the stomach (she sleeps on her tummy) - think I will be trying some cloth ones as I am getting fed up of washing clothes and sleeping bags every day. The only good thing is that it doesn't seem to wake her up any earlier!!
