W's first pair of proper shoes (after prewalkers) were a 5H. We got them from Clarks. I think The choice for wider fit is limited too. It just so happened they had the style I liked the first time. He just got a new pair a couple of weeks ago and he was a 6.5G, and i had to settle with a shoe that, although smart, wasn't what I'd wanted. I'd be interested to hear where people get shoes from too.

Oh dear! That's the same problem we had with the shoes. We bought the shoes in May and he'd put a hole in the toes by the time July rolled round. The tongue wouldn't stay up where it was supposed to either, so we went for a different style. It's quite frustrating! It would seem W's width are going down, but we'll probably have this problem for a while!

Harry had 2 bouts of being shoeless due to large feet (he's now a 13). One shop tried to persuade us to have shoes made. As if a one yr old's fit will still be the same size when the shoes arrive 6 weeks later!

My mum had that problem with my younger brother! Rather amusingly, W and my younger brother have the same name...maybe I set myself up for it!
