I have a small haemangioma on my shoulder (collection of blood vessels under the skin that looks like a blood blister). It started in around November time last year. It got quite big and both my GP and a skin Dr looked at it (sods law it had got a lot smaller by the time I saw the Dr!) and said it wasnt a cause for concern and may well get biggre again as I was 12 weeks pregnant. Well it's got quite large again - not currently causing any problems but if it follows the same patter as before, it just takes me to catch it once when I scratch or something and it pours with blood. I have been back to see my GP and have contacted my skin Dr too to see him again but the appointment isnt until 13 May when I will be 27 weeks.
I think he will offer to remove it as he did last time but we thought it might go away. have any of you had a local anesthetic in pregnancy or is it advised not to?
