Have any of you taken low dose Aspirin in early pregnancy? I keep getting conflicting info as to whether it is safe or not.
What are your thoughts? Is it safe or shall I stop taking it?

I might give them a call or wait for tuesday for my midwife appointment. I read that they recommend baby aspirin to avoid miscarriages and to thin blood so I've been taking it just in case xx

Hi sweetjudy, yes its safe but only if prescribed. Both my midwife and gp said I needed it as I'm at risk of pre eclamsia, the same as Booey. Mine is a singleton pregnancy. I think you should definitely seek advise though before you take it on a regular basis. I too was very worried about taking it but have been fine and baby is fine too but I have regular scans for various reasons so have just seen my baby at 32 weeks xxx

Hi hun , sorry not got got back sooner , as you know I also took it for recurrent miscarriage , was planning on taking it til 14 weeks but consultant advised taking it all the way through , (have had high bp during previous pregnancies n small babies n may be at risk of pre eclampsia) but as it's such a low dose it can't really do any harm but may well prevent miscarriage , but every woman is different so as the other girls have said discuss it with your midwife , good luck hun , bet you're excited about seeing the midwife .. exciting times x x x x
