Got a phone call from my doctors this morning which confirmed I was pregnant but said my hcg levels was low. She said I could just be less than we thought so I could be miscarrying. Has anyone has any success story's with low hcg levels? She's told me to do another pregnacy test in a week and see. I'm going out my mind ????

Go to missdiagnosedmiscariage online, its a website. Go under the section with hcg. There you will find stories of healthy pregnancies. not always will low /declining hcg lead to miscarriage. But usually yes it does.

hcg levels are supposed to double every 48 hour at least the first four weeks of pregnancy if not there is something wrong/ chromosomes are wack/ something wrong with fetus or now sack for baby. your body can also reject the sperm tissue from your partner.even antibodies within your body and second hand smoke can cause you to have miscarriages (even the foods you do and dont eat the nutrients your body is lacking before and during pregnancy) also heredity. If your mother had miscarriages it is very likely you will also. sorry.
If you are a smoker or lived with smokers while you were young when your reproduction development was developing this can cause you problems also.

Hello, good shout about going on the misdiagnosed miscarriage Site-i was a slave to this site when I was going through my problems with previous pregnancy and found it helpful to get some answers.
Usually a gp would request a subsequent blood test to compare hcg levels and look for an appropriate rise. Odd that they'd just comment on a lone result. Also progesterone (which plays THE role in maintaining early pregnancy) levels are usually checked.
Wishing you lots of luck for a healthy little bean x
