Sounds very much like you need some iron pills, I was the same! Make sure they give you a prescription for lactulose as well as they can make you constipated...joy! Mine wasn't dealt with promptly, my useless mw missed it and the head mw finally picked up on it and sorted me out so don't be afraid to pester. Hope you feel better soon x

They can sometimes miss things so you don'y get phoned. Definitely worth phoning about. I had iron tablets around 20ish weeks, as although I was within the "normal" iron guidelines, my iron levels were low for me and had dropped a lot.
As Smarties said, ask for some Lactulose if you are prescribed iron tablets at any time, as "going" becomes very difficult!

I had all the symptoms you've described plus dizziness. The theory is that if you get no phone call then your results are fine, but if anything shows up they will call. However this didn't happen at my surgery! The midwife got the results and did as she was supposed to and passed them to the surgery for an iron tablet prescription and a call to me. They did the prescription but not the call... Useful! So only when I next saw the midwife did I know anything about it. She was fuming!

AR when I had my 28 week bloods done it was at the hospital (which is in a different area to my midwife), and they said they'd call if anything had come up in my bloods as they don't seem to send the results to my midwife. Maybe it's worth giving them a call in case the results have gone AWOL.

Even if your results came back ok that doesnt necessarily mean your iron levels haven't dropped, definitely worth going and getting checked x

I was told my results went to my GP rather than midwife and I was to call the surgery to ask for results.
I called and was told GP had reviewed my results and were fine.
Two weeks later I saw the mw who looked at the results and said I should be on iron tablets so write a note for me to give to go to ask to prescribe them.
I would ring and ask

I have similar symptoms AR, my iron levels were fine at my blood test 2 weeks ago.
I had iron injections in my first pregnancy and I don't remember any key symptoms specifically pointing to anaemia, but I was just ill the whole flippin' time!

I had a call a week or so after my 28 week bloods to say I needed iron tablets plus suggestions of good things to eat with iron in them. I was tired and really breathless going up the stairs. I also had restless legs. All of those symptoms disappeared when I had the tablets.

Hi AR, funnily enough I had many of those symptoms but it didn't even occur to me that I might be anaemic...turns out I am! I got a letter from the MW about a fortnight after I had routine bloods takes by my MW appointment and told to take the letter to my GP for a prescription. I haven't taken any lactulose and not had any constipation or other ill affects. Can you make an appointment to have your iron checked at your local GP practice?
