My H has treated himself to a new MP3 player and has given his old one to my 5 year old daughter who is loving it. I just wanted to see if anyone knew if there are any guidelines re. how much use of headphones is safe for a young child? She's got the headphones that stick right in the ear if you know what I mean. She only has them on quiet, she's been told that she must not turn the volume up past a certain level and I can trust her with that. Thanks in advance.

I think you'd do better buying some specific kids headphones as the volume can be limited, also I think over ear ones are more comfy for little ones and less sore on little ears.

Sorry, only just come back to this. Thank you Hepburn. I'll look into getting the over ear ones for her then.
