Hi all I had my 24 week midwife appointment today but I am measuring 26 weeks instead of 26, the midwife seemed please about this and said baby has probably had a growth spurt.

Has anyone else had this, am a little worried I may be having abig baby...?

I started off bang on, then had a growth spurt and measured 2 weeks ahead for a while and too thought I would end up with a big baby if she continued being ahead each time but recently she has slowed down again and im now actually a week behind and will find out soon whether she is a big one or a smal one! Unless the difference is 3/4cm (i think thats right) then the midwife doesnt worry as its not an exact science.

    My fundal height was....
    24cm at 24 weeks
    27cm at 27 weeks
    31cm at 29 weeks
    33cm at 32 weeks

I then evened out again and was 35cm at 35 weeks and then more recently was 36cm at 37 weeks. The midwife said this is normal and my little one probably just had a few growth spurts but now im close to my due date she has slowed down because she has run out of room!

Hi, im same as Gemma, baby has been measuring bit, at one point 4 cm more! Been to see midwife today and im now spot on. Ive still got a growth scan on Thursday but all seems fine now. My measurements have gone up and down everytime I have gone. At hospital registrar said that they are thinking of stopping doing measurements as they are not accurate!

Gemma seems like we have nearly same due date!!

    Hey

I was the same measured 28cm at 25 weeks then measured 30cm at 30 weeks, then at 31 weeks measured 32cm, at 33 weeks measured 32, then at 34 weeks measured 35cm! Then measured 38 weeks from 38 weeks untill he was born! He was a nice 7lb 7oz!

i seem to be measuring ahead each time.I measured 32 at 28 weeks and today measured 34 at 31 1/2 weeks! my baby probebly is gonna be quite big tho as my girls were a good weight.I had a scan last week and he was already 4 1/2 lb at 30 weeks! my midwife never seems concerned about the measurements. On the other end of the scale my friend has just had a baby weighing 8lb 8oz and she was measuring small the whole way thru so was told she was having a small baby! i dont think its that acurate when they measure xx
