Where do you visit her? I have a number for the health centre mine is based at and call them.

i see her at the health centre, i ll call them thank you
If its urgent the the maternity ward or triage. If its less so there should be a central community midwife number. What happens if you call the number you have for yours? It might rither divert elsewhere or give you another number. The front of my notes has a list of numbers.

Thanks ladies, iv just got in, they found her on the monitor but had a scan also, she is moving around we have seen that, but I still can't fell her today and even the dr couldn't feel her, they made me eat and drink but still no change. They told me I needed to stay in and have a bath etc which isaid no to, mainly because I'd rather bath at my house and I barely sleep so I would be better in my bed, but I have a doppler so will listen in hourly. I do however have to call them hourly until 9pm then I'm back there in the morning, and if anything changes I'm to go straight back ! All very scary, my little diva is testing us lol xxx

If the hospital advised you to stay in i would be doing that, they can act far more urgently if they need to than you being at home.

I agree with CK. They wouldn't want you to stay in if they weren't concerned.

monnie, with the greatest respect, are you trained in using a doppler? i know you have probably picked up LOs heart rate thousands of times before but are you able to distinguish between ventricular ectopics, irregular heart rates, tachycardia, bradycardia, can you distinguish between placental blood flow and a fetal heart beat? if so then great, but i think if the staff have advised you to stay then it may be worth considering staying. obviously its totally your choice though but please if any concerns id go straight back.
i hope this doesnt come across as out of order, i just mean that beds are few and far between, not everyone is advised to stay. also did they advise you to use the doppler hourly? CTG traces are usually much more regular than that.
hope baby starts dancing around soon, L was forever not moving so we were forever being monitored so i understand how scary it is

I hope everything is ok and baby starts kicking soon. I do agree with cp though and wouldn't have gone against their advice. Are you going to be able to sleep at home anyway as I'd imagine you will be on edge and you'll be wanting to get the Doppler out every hour anyway.

Hope little lady starts playing ball soon, I have to say I would agree with CP regarding the Doppler and beds not being offered unless they genuinely thought you needed to stay. But I also think you know your baby and body best.
