I've not looked into the science behind this, just interested anecdotally...
Do babies hit developmental milestones around the same time as mum or dad? I was apparently very 'average' and didn't do anything especially early or late but H was a late walker and late talker. Is it reasonable to assume S will be the same?
Has that rung true for any of your LOs?
And what about teeth? I was 6m for my first tooth but H was over a year, as were his siblings.
Just wondering really...

No idea, but if so I hope baby takes after me! I talked average age and didn't walk until 16 months. I was and still am lazy and prefer sitting and watching! H was 8 weeks premature and walked at 7 months, he kind of skipped the crawling stage!

Mine have been similar to me - I walked at about 10m, they both walked at 11m and I got my first tooth at about 9m and they have all got their first at 8m. I've definitely noticed that my three have all done things at very similar times to each other so far as well.

11 months sounds reasonable for walking - I am not prepared for walking at 7 months so thankful that he's only just showing an interest in crawling atm!

No, I did everything quite early... was walking by 10 months. So did my two cousins but my brother didn't walk until 13 months and everyone in the family thought he was slow. Historically babies on both sides had walked early. A didn't walk until 14 nearly 15 months!! I know it's not really behind but it was for us IYSWIM!

Apparently teeth timings is hereditary and i got my teeth late, as did both the girls. C is very like me - early talker, late walker and never crawled. S crawled at 9 months, walking by 1, but doesn't talk any where near as much as her sister.
