Firstly big congrats to MrsL on your new addition. Any chance of letting us know name and a sneak peak? Please do keep us updated on here. BK hope you are doing well and staying patient. As many baby vibes as i can muster!
AFM yesterday was a baby shower. We had a lovely afternoon tea with all my best friends and me and baby bump got v spoilt. So excited by baby stuff! I also ordered breastpads etc on my weekly shop online so i can start thinking about hosp bag. Blood sugars high again so need to call hosp. ParentCraft this morning then off to work.

I appreciate the vibes!! Sounds like you had a lovely afternoon. Hope the parent craft lessons are useful. Good luck on the blood sugar levels.
AFM: Nothing new here, 41 weeks today by my dates. Still wishing pain on myself!! Not sleeping hugely well as I keep dwelling on what my mw will be like tomorrow (really wished I'd asked to swap after the terrible homebirth meeting at 36 weeks). Fingers crossed she'll be nice & supportive.
Hi to all who follow x x

Rio sounds like a lovely day yesterday, hope the blood sugars settle
Bk I seen ur thread re monitoring, not sure at all what is in offer, but hopefully you either won't need it or if you do they will work with you. I'd imagine by that point there will be consultant involvement and going off my pregnancies Iv always found consultants much better to discuss things with than mw. The consultant whilst very medicalised, has always been very open to discussing things, once he realised I'd read up on things and wanted to be very involved iyswim then it was fine. I think if you read up on the guidance (which you have), then hopefully all will be fine.
Congrats Mrs L!!
Afm, I'm just eating some cereal and watching jezza gotta love mat leave!
House still over run with builders but Tbf they have finished the play room and utility room and are now in the hall , I feel like asking them to be god parents/birth partners as they have been here so long! They were answering the door to our trick or treaters on Friday , I'm going to clean this house within an inch of it's life today, we cancelled our cleaner until all building work done but have restarted her to do a huge clean whilst I'm
In hospital thank god!! Nothing much else happening here really.
Take care all x

Thanks RF, that's useful to know.
Enjoy your dettol fix from cleaning, although don't overdo it. At least the builders have finished part of it!
AFM: My really annoying midwife phoned me and the 1st thing she said was, 'haven't you had your baby yet' (grrrrr) followed by asking me if I'd had a sweep yet (the one she booked me in for without my consent that I told I wasn't going to have) & sounded annoyed that I hadn't done it.
She then said she needed to book me in for trace at the hospital tomorrow I said I felt it was too early (was expecting to start monitoring on Friday) & she agreed to fit me into clinic tomorrow. Then she phones me back, having spoken to her colleague, to say the official guidelines is that they have to go with the scan date & she'd booked me in for the ctg tomorrow.
I tried ringing the SOM just now but she's abroad on annual leave until 8th Nov. I'm just trying to work out what to do now. I'm happy to have a trace but am worried that it means that I'll be expected to start a lot more monitoring & could have up to 2 more weeks of this. Also think that the mw is trying to get rid of me (the mw I saw on Thurs & the one I spoke to on Sat were quite happy with my date as was the SOM).
Arghhhhhh. On top of that have a wingy toddler who I've just taken to the park. Might just put her down for a long nap whilst I figure out to phone to find out what's going on (whilst putting together a list of complaints against my mw) & breathe!!!
