Morning! How are we all? Did we have all have a good weekend?
We managed to get some things done that I've been trying to sort for ages so I'm pleased about that.
Got quite a busy day today. Food shop being delivered first thing then I have my booking in appointment with the MW at last. Then I think mum might be popping over. She guess our news last night - I wasn't going to say anything until after the scan but apparently she's known for a while because she "knows me so well"! Anyway I'm glad she knows, makes it all a bit more real though.
Hi to those who follow, will try to pop back later.

Morning everyone, can't believe its Monday again so quickly!
WG - good luck with the midwife appointment today, do you get to hear the baby's heartbeat at the booking in appt or do you have tow ain't until the scan for that? Pleased your mum knows, it's nice to share the news with someone outside of your partner!
AFM weekend was lovely, had a lazy day at home yesterday and slept for over 8 hours last night so feeling fresh today. Still doesn't feel real at the moment I think because I don't feel pregnant, I've just had sore nipples and tired but otherwise nothing x

Morning WG! Great news about the midwife today, hope it goes well. Mums always know!
MrsL - Good morning! All that sleep sounds bliss!
AFM - I had a good weekend. We got our combined screening results letter back and the twins are low risk (Twin A is 1 in 100,000 and Twin B is 1 in 48,000). I know there is always a risk but I couldn't ask for a much better result at this stage. We pre ordered our pram. That essentially means we put our name on a waiting list at John Lewis and got a receipt to prove it! We didn't pay anything and won't until it arrives, we can also cancel our pre order at any time so although it sis early, it didn't feel too much of a commitment.
It is also my last few days on first tri. I'll be going to be with the big girls on second tri on Wednesday. How crazy is that!?

MrsL - from what I remember with my first pregnancy, they don't try listening for the heartbeat until around 16 weeks. I just really want a scan sorted and for it to hurry up! I'm glad you got a good nights sleep, it makes all the difference.
Ducky - great news about the test results. Yay to putting your name on the list for the pram, what one have you gone for?

WG - I hope today goes well with the MW and you're not waiting too long for a scan. Pleased that your mum knows, its great to share the early stages with her.
MrsL- Ahhh sleep! That sounds great. sometimes a chilled weekend is what you need.
Ducky - great news about the test results!!
AFM - I had a great weekend in Brighton, such a long day! I slept most of yesterday afternoon, we also told ILs Last night about the pregnancy, they were shocked but happy.... I think! I know they're not a family of showing their emotions but this is their first grandchild so I was expecting something... but 2 mins later MiL was up doing the washing up!!

Yaaaaaaaaaaawwwwwwwn, morning ladies.
WG - hope all goes well with MW and that you get your scan date soon.
Mrs L - don't worry, I was fine in the beginning but symptoms came and got me!
Ducky - great news on the test results...I also think it's time for a little pram flash as it's so pretty!
Boo - my PIL was potentially the least excited man ever, but they will get excited eventually, honest - it's sometimes a bit of a shock.
AFM - I had a great time at the hen this weekend and managed to get away with the non drinking. Went to bed at 830 last night though as I was so knackered. I;ve got an awful headache today and feel a bit pants, but I'll power through. It's my 12 week scan next Monday, so hoping this week goes quickly!
Hope everyone is well x

Hellooooo ladies!! I'm having a baby!! I know I'm slightly late to this realisation but shush :P
WG - It's lovely your mum knows you so well that she worked it out without you having to tell her! Hope your day isn't too tiring
MrsL - I've no idea when it feels real... i'm almost 2nd tri and it doesn't feel real to me most of the time. Glad to hear you had a good nights sleep x
Ducky - Hurrah for the good screening results, I'm still waiting for mine - you got yours back super quick!! You definately need to give us a pram flash so we can ogle it ;)
Boo - My parents didn't give quite the reaction I expected either, apparently it's because we'd told them so early and they were worried about something going wrong. They seem to be getting more excited now I'm consider 'safer' as I've got beyond 12 weeks. I'm sure their excitement will pick up so don't be too disheatened.
Gavi - Glad you enjoyed yourself, you've earnt a few early nights so let yourself have them! Hope the scan goes well next week!!
AFM - Today I also reserved a pushchair! We are going to collect it this evening. We went to kiddicare as planned on Saturday and out of all 50+ pushchairs we looked at my H only liked one of them. It was an end of line, last one in stock too so it was heavily reduced but he couldn't make a decision there and then so he left it. He spent all day yesterday complaining that we should of got it and that he can't find it anywhere else that cheap, so this morning I rang kiddicare and they've agreed to put it behind the reservation desk for us and can collect it this evening!! I've no idea where I'm going to put it for another 6 months until it's needed but it's definately making this becoming parents thing feel more real!! To make it even better the only pushchair he liked was PURPLE!! I promise I didn't influence him whatsoever (unless i've subconciously programmed his brain without realising?)

Oooooo exciting PS. What one is it? Glad it's becoming real for you, are you feeling better? x
03/03/2014 at 12:58
Pushchair flash decided to be first?!
PS - A purple pushchair! That's one thing off the list!
Boo - Glad you had a lovely time in Brighton. Silly in laws for not squealing with excitement. I would have been a bit meh too.
Gavi - that's an achievement! Getting thru a hen do with no drinking!! Well done!

Boo - it's always quite interesting seeing other peoples' reactions, I'm sure they're over the moon for you.
Gavi - pleased to hear the hen do went well and you got away with the not drinking! Hope this week goes quickly for you in the run up to your scan.
PurpleStar - what pushchair have you gone for?
AFM, I'm back from my booking in appointment. Feels a little bit more real now! She's dated me nearly 9 weeks EDD 7th October but she's said that's only a rough rough guide at the moment because my cycles are long and they'll more than likely move my dates at the scan. I'm just going to say due sometime in October haha. Apparently because F was a little early, this one could well be early too so I should be prepared for that.

Ooooh Ducky I like that very much!

Gavi - pleased you managed the hen do ok! I hope your head is feeling better soon, maybe another early night, will make you feel much better for tomorrow.
PS - love that H prefered the purple pushchair! It couldn't be more perfect for you!!
Ducky - the pram looks great! Really smart!
WG - pleased that the booking in appt went well and its feeling more real... one step closer to the scan :)
