How are you all?
Sorry I havent been on much, I dont get on until late. Im 10+1 today, scan on the 30th May.
Has anyone any scans this week?

Morning Koobie. Exciting news about the scan - not long now!
Sorry I wasn't around much the last few days - ended up emergency babysitting for my sister on Friday afternoon, then on Saturday my H decided that he couldn't wait to tell his mum any longer so we ending up telling her, so then we had to go tell his sister as well. So then on Sunday we had to drive round the South East all day so that we could tell my parents and his dad. I was totally unimpressed with the whole situation cos I didn't want to tell anyone yet and feel physically sick at the thought that other people know about it so early. I am mad with my H and he knows it. However I am more mad at my sister who has started putting cryptic messages on facebook - even though I told her that she was privileged to know so early and I had also made her promise not to put anything on facebook. I am SO mad at her that I could actually kill her. I am FURIOUS. Argh.
Mrs Bass - just wondering, did you ever hear back about that job you went for?
13/05/2013 at 09:28
Koobie, not long to wait until your scan now. How exciting.
Penny, I would kill my H. In fact, he wouldn't do it as he knows how I feel about telling people early. Despite your worries, was it nice to tell people? How has it been at work since you've resigned?
AFM- so, I feel queasy still but not been sick yet. I'm really worried now that something is wrong, as surely I should have proper ms by now? Anyway, enough fretting from me, I'm just going to get on with this week, only a few days until my early scan on Thursday. I'm keeping everything I've got crossed, and if you ladies can send your magic vibes my way I'd appreciate it!

Morning both, I've been trying to reply for about an hour, no idea whats up with my phone!
First off, I know you'll be there now, but good luck for the scan Horsefan, I hope you got a babysitter sorted out too?
Koobie, not long to scan, I think it's all early scans this week, HF, Imp and myself.
Penny - No wonder your annoyed! We told my parents and my only sister and my H's parents last time and no-one else. When we found out again we've told my parents and my sis but that's it this time. If something goes wrong I would tell my mum and my sis anyway so it's nice to have the support and I like them knowing. I would be ragging at my sis, she wouldn't do anything like that.
AFM - nothing much to report, early scan on sat, I'm literally counting down the days. I'm mega tired this time, I slept alot at the weekend and getting up this morning was a task! x

Hi All! I'm still around, I have got my repeat scan tomorrow and I'm looking forward to it. I was put back a week at my last one and baby was too small to check for anomalies. I'll be telling my kids tomorrow too. I'm feeling much better now, although still very tired. Can't believe I'm almost out of the first tri. We're of on holiday for a week in three weeks - just a caravan in Wales but it's where we always went when I was growing up. I haven't been since before I had my eldest. The only problem is that I am wearing the same jeans every day at the moment as nothing fits! I need to get some new clothes :)
Penny-I'd be ready to murder her too. I know people get excited but should still honour your wishes.
Hi Koobie, good luck for your scan :)

Imp and Missdeedee - good luck for your scans!
13/05/2013 at 09:34
Sorry I missed missdeedee there! Hope you're hanging in there, lovely. Not long until Saturday now.
Cherry Garcia- good luck for tomorrow. I hope they can check everything this time.
Horsefan- good luck!

Sorry Imp, missed you there. I don't know about the MS but from posts on here, I think (if your going to get it) any time from 6-8 weeks sounds 'normal' so still plenty time! I've had a few queasy moments too, but don't feel like I'm going to be sick. I know symptoms dont mean anything so I'm trying not to get too worried about MS or lack off. Looking back my give away last time should have been that my symptoms all eased off (although again there were posts from people saying the same happened to them and all was fine) but my bloating got much better, my sore boobs eased and even the queasiness passed. This time my boobs are aching and I do mean aching and I thought I was tired last time but nothing like this, I can hardly keep my eyes open, so I'm just going on the basis that hopefully things are ok just now at least. How have you been feeling? I completely understand, I'm so nervous for sat, I actually just want it to be sat now to get it over with! xx
13/05/2013 at 09:49
gah! sorry missed you CG! Hope all goes well tomorrow, that's nice you'll get an extra scan to see the baby and be lovely to tell your kids.
Where are you going in wales? My H is welsh! x
13/05/2013 at 10:12
I've spent pretty much the entire weekend either sleeping or laying on the sofa/in bed! So I can defo agree on the tiredness front. My boobs are achey, but not that bad, I can't remember what they were like last time though. I'm defo feeling way more queasy this time, but ad you say it doesn't necessarily mean anything. Roll on Thursday, for me, and Saturday for you!

I know Horse Fan had an ersly scan thismorning so i hope that went well, & good luck to everyone else having one this week!!
Penny- I would have been furious too! Especially with your sister! can you block her for a couple of months :-)
I did eventually get a rejection email from them! Im still looking but i think i end up re-joinning the Temp unit here (i work at a university so we have our own temp unit!) for a few months until its time to stop! sucks i wont get maternity pay but i think we will jus about manage!
Imp- I havent had any morning sickness either, just waved of nausea, try not to panic! some of us are just lucky!
AFM- I told my mum yday! she was so excited!! Im so glad I did! She thinks im having a girl as when she was pregnant with both my brothers, she was vomitting all through the 1st tri then we me she just had nausea but no vomitting and thats how im going so far! We've told her we want to keep it a secret until the scan and she understands but i think it is going to be tricky for her! Her bestie was with her so at least she has someone to talke to/get excited with!
Ive had nausea since i had my breakfast so think im going to go and get some boiled sweets to suck on, see if that helps!

It's strange as I had all these 'symptoms' last time too, but with nothing to compare them too, I'm only now realising they weren't that strong. I had sore boobs last time, but only if I really prodded them! I woke up in the morning and they were totally fine and by the end of the day there were just a bit sore but now they're 100 times more painful and sore all day. Same with the tiredness, I was tired before but nowhere near as bad as this time.
Hi Mrs Bass - so nice you told your mum, do you have any incline on whether its a boy or a girl?
I'm refreshing like mad to check for an update from HF x
13/05/2013 at 11:03
We are going to Borth, not far from Aberystwyth. I can't wait, it's such a special place for me :)
13/05/2013 at 11:07
missdeedee this really made me giggle!
missdeedee only if I really prodded them
no wonder they ached at the end of the day if you sat prodding them all day! Mine ache when i fist get up (or get up in the night for the loo) i thinks its gravity after they have been flat in my armpits all night suddenly I get up and gravity to takes over and then they ache. some time i even have to carry them!!
Weirdly I have felt that it a girl! Cant explain it, and im not even 9 weeks yet, its just a feeling!

Scan showed a slug with stumpy arms & legs and a heartbeat. Baby is measuring at 7+5 today which means due date is Christmas day (Do'h). We are sooo relieved and happy :-)

Right, I've calmed down a little now...... still fuming inside, but not on the warpath anymore.....! I just can't believe that she would be so selfish. Actually what am I saying, it's typical behaviour for her. Grrrrr. Anyway....!
Imp - it's been ok as the director dealing with my resignation has been away but he's back today and wants to see me so I'm sure it'll all kick off again later. Never mind, I'm outta here, will just smile sweetly until the end. It was kinda nice to tell people but seeing as I din't want to tell them, I wasn't enjoying it, iykwim? I'm not feeling too queasy or sick either - perhaps we won't be getting MS as badly as other people? I can't wait for your scan on Thursday, it'll be fine, I know it - but I'm sending you all my vibes anyway. xxxx
Missdeedee - yay not long until your scan!
CG - good luck for your scan tomorrow. Your holiday sounds fab, I hope the weather cheers up for you.
Mrs Bass - ah, that's a shame about the job but at least you've still got temp work to fall back on. Will you qualify for Maternity Allowance? Bless your mum getting all excited, and that's nice that she can share with her bestie. Is it her first grandchild? Hope the nausea eases off!
I'm not really having any strong symptoms and I know that I saw that little heartbeat on Wednesday but now I'm a bit worried. Especially now that everyone knows. :-(
Horsefan I am so happy for you! Yayyy for the slug!!! Christmas bubba too.
13/05/2013 at 11:36
Yay HF! That is brilliant, so happy for you xxx
13/05/2013 at 11:41
