Morning Ladies! I'm not sure if a new Monday thread should be started or as it's a Bank holiday we should still use the weekend one but I thought i would start one to catch up!
As predicted I couldn’t log on while i was away but i could lurk so I saw the scan updates, the car updates, the job updates (congratulations Penny!) and the BFPs!! (congratulations missdeedee & MrsPenguin!) I hope everyone has had lovely long weekends?
we have had a hectic but great week! we had a couple of Days just the 2 of us in Belfast which gave us a chance to discuss baby names, and possible guardians/un-godly parents! my H's main concern is choosing which school we will send them to, talk about getting ahead of himself!
Had a great time at my sister-in-laws wedding and even though I was sober and knackered, i was still one of the last on the dance floor at midnight! I think i managed to hide my not drinking quite well too. For the champagne reception I got the bar man to fill a champagne flute with appletiser, during the meal i i was on water but had a small glass of red wine there which i had a couple of small sips from! It was after that got tricky as people kept offering to buy me a drink. I made sure I always had a drink on me (lemonade with ice ~& lemon to make it look a bit more G&T like!) My brother in law started to get a bit huffy that i kept buying my own drinks and said "why won't you let me buy you a drink...unless...OH...ok" hen winked at me and tapped his nose! BUSTED!! he didnt offer me a drink the rest of the night! We went to theirs for dinner on Saturday and they didnt question once why I wasnt drinking! I was quite nice not to lie!
Im sure it has been worse due to all the travelling around but I have been soooooo tired in the evenings! In a pub on sat i really struggled to keep my eyes open but im trying not to be a party pooper! Ive got to the stage where I have to undo my jeans button when I sit down for a meal!!!!! Other wise I get really uncomfortable and full quite quickly.
My H even told me im looking more "melon like" charming! I got a bi of a bargain though as my MIL volunteers in a charity shop and they had a donation of clothes will will their tags in so she showed me some of the bits, there were 2 pairs of black linen trousers with draw sting and elasticated waist at the back! Perfect! I bought both pairs, a large & Extra large! the best bit was they still had the original price tag on £265 (!!!!! for a pair of linen trousers!!!) I got them for £8 each!
anyway, that is enough waffling from me! Looks like it is going to be a sunny day so i plan to get out in the garden today! hope you all enjoy your bank holidays!!

Sounds like you had a great week anyway Think you definitely deserve a relaxing day today, enjoy the sunshine!
I got most of my stuff packed up yesterday but by the afternoon I wasn't so much packing as telling people what to do, I was just so tired!! I keep going very very light headed as well which isn't nice. I already can't comfortably do up my jeans or trousers so I've had to go and buy some but I'm still at the stage that it's just bloating. Oh and I stood on the scales yesterday and I've lost 4lb since last week... I'm sure it's meant to be going the other way.
Hello to all latersand lurkers, I'm going to try and enjoy the weather

MrsBass - sounds like you had a lovely time away :-) It's lovely & sunny here too. Planning on going out in it to our local May Day fair :-)
Hi Jem - I'm really bloated too. Nightmare trying to hide it isnt it.
AFM - had a lovely day out including pub lunch with my Mum & LO yesterday. Left H doing some DIY :-) Came home, had a huge argument with H (don't ask!) and abandoned LO on him and went & rode my horse. He-he was fab ride in evening sun.
Today - off to May Day fair with LO, H and MIL. We aren't telling MIL about pregnancy yet so might be interesting trying to hide it from her given that I feel queasy all flipping day now. Gah. Any m/s prevention tips?

Mrs Bass - sounds like you had a lovely time, and those are some good skills you've got for hiding your non-drinking. Also well done on getting those trousers - bargain!
Jem - how on earth have you managed to lose weight?? Ha ha. I know what you mean about the bloating. Its not enough to require a bigger size, just enough to make what you've got not fit too well. Yesterday I was wearing jeans with the top button undone but with a belt loosely done up as well to stop them falling down if i bent down etc.
HF - Sounds like you're having a good weekend so far (apart from the argument). I read somewhere that ice lollies help with queasiness - the weather's right and I'm sure that your LO won't say no......!
AFM - sitting here trying to write my resignation letter but its really hard to know what to say, esp as I'm leaving my poor H there. I'm just going to cite 'new challenges'. I've worked out that if all goes well I'll be 17 weeks when I start the new job. I'll definitely have to tell them by then, to be fair to them, but I'll have 5 weeks after my 12 weeks scan in which to do it so I'm sure I'll be fine. I hope! I'm going to try to finish the letter now cos I've told myself that I can't go out in the sun until I do!
