HOpe you've all had a lovely weekend, have i missed anything??
I'm absolutely exhausted after my riding competition trip. Long journey, loads of riding, sleeping in thehorse box, loads of lifting and carrying and walking. Got back about midnight on saturday and slept most of yesterday bar a walk to the pub for lunch! H is working in London this week which means he has to leave really early and won'tbe doing P's breakfast and giving me an extra hour or so in bed. It's going to be a tiring week!
I got my appointment for my hospital booking in, already seen the mw but because i'm out of the hospital area apparently i have to book in at hospital too. It seems stupid though as i have an 'early bird' initial booking in next week, then scan at some point and then a 'full' booking in. All by 12 weeks ish, so given i'm 10 weeks this week, 3 hospital trips in the next few weeks. Luckily the first booking in is next monday, my day off, but i really don't want to have to take 2 other appointment times off work before i've even told them. I don't see why the booking in cant be done as one appointment to save trips. I might call and ask them!
Anyway, sorry about the rant. Other than tired i feel the usual sick and sore boobs etc.
HOpe everyone is well.

Sounds like quite a weekend you've had, you'll be shattered by next weekend! Hope the hospital see sense about your appointments or at least make them all Mondays for you.
AFM, still a bit tired and worn out but no other real symptoms. 12 wk scan tomorrow (this next bit may be sens so feel free not to read on)and I'm terrified. This will sound terrible but I feel I can say it here when I can't IRL but I keep thinking if they tell me somethings gone wrong ill have to have surgery again and basically it didn't go to plan last time and I lost 3 pints of blood. And that's the bit that's sticking in my mind, not the fact that there won't be a baby I think because I''ve not properly accepted that I'm pregnant. Does that make any sense? I know I sound a complete mental case I think it's just a coping mechanism? But it's only now properly hitting me how much last time affected me as I'm getting to the same stage. I think after the scan if everything is ok we will go and buy a wee teddy or sleepsuit or something and try to start to believe it.
Sorry ladies. Hope that's not upset anyone. Hope you are all having nice days and no one is feeling too rough x

Ah weekender i do completely understand what you mean. Your brain is just trying to protect you by not concentrating on the baby. Being tired is a symptom remember. I will be thinking of you, what time is the scan tomorrow? We are here if you want to talk about it in the mean time. xx

Thanks AR, it's nice to know someone understands. Scan is 10.05 tomorrow so at least I'll not have too much time to think about it!

AR - what a crazy weekend for you. You must be so tired. And I totally get where you're coming from regarding time off from appointments. It should be condensed in to one and time off kept to a minimum. Especially as it's an unwritten rule not to tell anyone until 12 weeks+. Seems unfair.
Oh WE. I feel for you. It's understandable this would have you reliving feelings from before. It's not nice for you but I can see why you're not banking on baby etc. It's going to be hard getting through to the scan. Are you sleeping okay? I remember it was affecting your sleep last week.
AFM I had an almost-normal weekend. I only feel 50% sh!tty and I can deal with that. Obviously there's the 'what if I feel better because I'm not pregnant' thing, especially as I've had a mmc. But I have v sore boobs, nausea all day, tiredness, get v hot and v cold, etc etc. It would be lovely if it's just a reduction in symptoms but everything is fine. 12 wk scan 2 weeks today. Want it now!
Hello to lurkers

Thanks Counter, I've been sleeping not too bad, one of the advantages of constantly being tired is that I fall asleep quickly. Not banking on much sleep tonight though!
I'm glad you are feeling a bit better counter, hope it continues xx

Hope everyone had good weekends. I feel bad for introducing myself then disappearing...very bad manners!
We went on a little day trip to Cambridge on Saturday which was really lovely but completely wiped me out. As soon as we got in the car to drive home I fell asleep and didn't wake up until we pulled into our drive. Took it easy yesterday and apart from the food shop and some washing left the rest to OH-he's been a star recently! The muscles on either side of my stomach were really aching yesterday, I've convinced myself that it's completely normal and just stretching pains.
Weekender - hope today goes quickly for you and fingers crossed for the scan tomorrow.
AR - my hospital have luckily arranged my booking in appointment on the same day as my scan. It's worked out well for work as I'm just taking the day as holiday but I have the booking in appointment first and I can't help thinking that I'd prefer the scan first as if anything is wrong I'll feel like I've wasted the midwives time. Hope they can combine the two midwife appointments for you.
Counter - sounds like your symptoms are definitely still there. It's horrible that we can't enjoy the good days we have without worrying isn't it? I'm still waiting for the pregnancy glow to arrive!

Good morning ladies!
AR - Sounds like you had a very busy weekend! The appointments sounds a bit silly, I hope you can sort them out and you don't have too take too much time off work!
Weekender - I totally understand that you would be feeling like that, I am not sure what I can add that everyone has already said so I am sending a hug!
Counter Glad you only felt 50% shitty lol! Hope the next 2 weeks pass quickly for you
Flossy - Sounds like you had a nice weekend, This pregnancy takes its toll on you tiredness wise! I am napping pretty much every day lol!
AFM - I have booked in too see my midwifes tomorrow at 3pm! Different receptionist asked if we had seen the GP? Er you said we didn't need to a few weeks ago! lol! She seemed happy with that as she just booked us in! Strange lol!

AR - Sounds like you had a busy weekend! At least keeping busy over the next couple of weeks will mean it will go quickly and your scan will be here before you know it.
WE - Totally normal to be feeling what you are feeling. I have everything crossed for you tomorrow xxx
Counter - good to hear you're feeling a bit better!
Flossy glad your H is helping!
CC - Glad you've got it booked in and they were nice!
AFM: feeling so tired today! Had a mental weekend: 3.5hr drive to my mums, nephew's birthday party, stripping wallpaper at my mums, clearing overgrown garden and then 3.5hr journey home! I felt super sneaky as well because whilst we were wallpapering my sister brought some alcohol and poured me a glass. I kept pouring a bit down the sink when they werent in the room to look like I was drinking it it!
Waiting to see if I've had my early scan date through when I get home after work, if not I'm going to ring them tomorrow to see how long its supposed to take. Rang my GP and gave them my details to pass on to the midwife - apparently she will ring me at around 8 weeks to arrange the booking in appointment which will be at home.

Sorr I've been awol - had a few hectic days at work and then my brother and his girlfriend up for the weekend which was lovely - I felt almost human which was nice so had a walk on the beach and a trip to Warkworth castle! Was sick this morning and feel a bit rank but not too bad - I seem to have progressed to throwing up once in the morning and that's it so can live with that until it hopefully eases off soon.
AR you are a bit of a hero with all that plus being back at work - no wonder you're tired! Sounds like the hospital are being a bit rubbish surely it would save time and effort to do everything together. I've been quite impressed the hospital have booked me in with the consultant staright after my scan on Thursday (I need to see them as I had a loop biopsy) but maybe they just haven't realised.
Oh weekender bless you I think it's a prefectly normal coping mechanism to feel like there might not be a baby (I definitely haven't really 'connected' with this pregnancy yet as I'm worried and I haven't had a bad experience) Lots of hugs and vibes for tomorrow it's a different pregancy and we're all rooting for a positive outcome xxx
Glad you're feeling better counter - it's strange to remember what feeling 'well' is!! I've found the last couple of weeks have flown by whereas the first 4 dragged so fingers crossed it will go quick for you.
Hi Flossy and welcome! How far along are you? Pains are defintely normal as is tiredness!
CC Glad you have your appointment through - I've given up on GP receptionists they're a strange breed ...

Browny - Hope that your scan is there for you when you get home! Sorry your feeling tired, Sounds like you had a very busy weekend!

Yes GP receptionists are very strange! lol

Hi Grif :) I'm not actually sure! I came off my pill when we got back from our honeymoon at the start of May and never had a period between then and getting my BFP. I think the hospital decided because of that to book me in for my scan sooner rather than later so I have one next Thursday and hopefully things will be clearer after that. I think that I'll be around 8/9 weeks so imagine I'll have to go back again for a proper 12 week scan but it'll be good to know and have a date to work towards.
