Good Monring ladies!
I hope everyone had a nice weekend?
Mine was lovely, we saw load of friends and generally just had a nice relaxing time.
Today I woke up at 4.30 and have been awake ever since. V annoying. Grrrrr. Scan tomorrow, eeek.

Aww imp I'm so excited for your scan!!!
AFM, as you know I'm braving it and going back to work today. I was up most of the night so I laid there and played music to the baby, she was wriggling, either dancing or she wasn't too keen on my song choice!
27/01/2014 at 07:29
Awww, the little lady was having a little dance in there! I hope work isn't too bad Mon.

Imp - so frustrating when you can't sleep. Hope today isn't too rough. One more sleep!!!!
Monnie - hope work is ok today. Too cute that your little diva was dancing to the music.
AFM - I'm off today to chill out after my weekend away. I'm going to take it easy and might do some housework if I feel like it. Nothing else v exciting to report.
Hope everyone is ok.
Hi to all that follow.

Imp - Glad you had a lovely weekend. I wonder if you are waking up early because you are apprehensive about tomorrow perhaps? I've been having really bad dreams this week and I think that is because I'm worried about everything being OK etc.
Monnie - Hope work goes quickly for you. Do you feel better after the time off?
Candy - Enjoy your day off!
AFM - Can't believe how much better I feel. I'm still totally off certain foods though - will that improve? I'm sick of my diet being so limited.
Me & H were out shopping on Saturday so I dragged him into John Lewis to quickly look at prams. He likes the Bugaboos too, so think we will definitely end up with one of those. He liked the Chameleon 3 though! He thought it was more compact so would be easier to navigate than the Buffalo that I like. My Mum text me saying her friend has a second hand Bugaboo to sell, a year old, and was I interested. Said no as at that point I was adamant I was having the Buffalo which I knew it wouldn't be. Now the Chameleon 3 is back in the mix I don't know whether to text and ask which pram her friend is selling. I think I have my heart set on a brand new pram though.... why am I being a brat about it? Its a pram for god sake.
Spent yesterday going through some of our direct debits and seeing if we could get better deals. Managed to get house / contents insurance down amongst other things and reckon I saved us about £70 a month! Yeeha! Also sold some old textbooks and DVDs and made £100 there. Its all going into my 'maternity fund' - I'm trying to save so I can take 9 months off rather than 6. I luckily put away some of my bonus so don't have *that* much left to save now to be able to do it (around £1,000). Just hope nothing big / expensive comes up so I have to dig into it for anything but what I want it for!

CA Enjoy your relaxing day, you deserve it you busy bee!
Pep- I like the bugaboo bee as it't very small and light. I still want to wait for the icandy raspberry to come out though and compare the two. As for new vs old- I would want new as I hope to get quite a few years use out of it, hopefully for number 2 too.
27/01/2014 at 09:58
Imp - Thats my intention too - that I'd like to keep it for number two (maybe three?!) as well.
27/01/2014 at 10:02
If you can afford it I would go for new, I guess it depends on cash flow. Plus, the condition of the 2nd hand one?
27/01/2014 at 10:10
Imp - My parents have offered to pay for the pram.... which is why I think I feel guilty about not properly considering the second hand one!
27/01/2014 at 10:45
Maybe ask your mum to get some photos of the condition of it from the lady? Then you can have a think about it. Or just say you really want new and don't mind paying the difference, I bet your folks won't let you but at least you've offered.
27/01/2014 at 10:52
Yeah, good plan. Glad you don't think I'm being unreasonable, I'm happy to take seconds with some stuff but I've spent so long looking at what pram I want now! Haha!
27/01/2014 at 10:53
Imp, sorry about the early wake up, I hope it doesn't happen all the time!
Mon, I love the idea of your girl dancing away in there. Good luck at work :)
CA, enjoy your relaxing day.
Pep, what had originally made you go for the buffalo over the chameleon? For me it's purely the wheels and basket underneath. I went and played with them again at the weekend, too :). If it makes you feel any better I'm not going 2nd hand, either, even though my mom is helping to pay for it. I did look on ebay, gumtree, and preloved just because any buffalo being sold would still be pretty new, but they are going for over £700 anyways, and for that price I wouldn't want 2nd hand! Also, most of the chameleons I've seen 2nd hand aren't the chameleon3, they're either 1st or 2nd gen. And I think that matters when it comes to things like footmuffs and car seat adapters.
AFM, sorry I've not been around on MD much. Too tough on mobile :(. I had a lovely weekend in Devon, made the sloppiest looking pink cake you can ever imagine. It looked perfect before we drove it to Devon, but apparently marshmallow fluff turns into goo when it's in a cake, so the layer between the sponges just oozed! Still tasted great, though! I know I already gave it away a few times, but now I can actually say she is a girl! Well, probably. Have another scan next week and I will be asking them to double check again!
Hi to all who may follow.

Oh, I just had a nosy at the bugaboo website, and the buffalo and chameleon are the same actual size except for the from wheels (and despite the more robust chassis), but the buffalo actually folds up ever so slightly more compact than the chameleon!
27/01/2014 at 11:20
Does the buffalo weigh more Wispa?
27/01/2014 at 11:46
It does, but we loaded all our shopping into the seat of the pram and pushed it around the shop, but it was impossible to tell the difference in weight when we were pushing it around, I think it would only make a difference in lifting it into the car, or up stairs, etc.
27/01/2014 at 11:50
They do see light when they're being wheeled around. I'm worried about weight with lifting it into my car etc.
27/01/2014 at 11:52
Wispa - I like that the seat is higher and the fact you can actually get to the basket too! I also like that there is clips for your changing bag and you can put more weight onto it. I imagine myself doing a lot of walking when I'm off, H laughs when I say this (I don't walk anywhere at the moment!). H thinks that the Buffalo is longer. I can't find dimensions to show it isn't (or it is!). They only have width dimensions that show it is the same as Chameleon 3.
Oooh and also like that you have the option of folding it all in one - handy if you have baby in one arm and can't free both arms to take seat off to then fold I thought?
Imp - Buffalo is 7lb heavier! (So my research tells me anyway...).
27/01/2014 at 12:05
That's quite a bit more then I guess.
Tbh I think even the chameleon is too heavy for me.
27/01/2014 at 12:52
Imp - I haven't actually tried picking either of them up when folded yet!
