What.a.sh!t.sleep. What more can I say!? I'm exhausted, feel like I've slept about an hour all night. I was uncomfortable, too hot, too cold for no covers, woke twice to pee, my H has terrible hayfever and was sniffing during the night. I can hardly wait for work today! Lol!
In more positive news, my friend had her baby yesterday, little girl, 8lb 1. So excited and she sent me a photo y'day and she just looks tiny and so cute.
Missed some of the later posts last night, Jem hope you are ok? Did you just fall and break the bone? I text my midwife friend yesterday to ask her advice about a Doppler and she said not to get one. We don't get a 16week midwife app here so I don't see anyone now until the consultant and my scan at 19 weeks (there's no available app with the consultant at 20wks so I'm a week early!) When we went for our early scan, they had a summer 'offer' on where you pretty much got 3 scans for the price of 1 so we booked that and I'm going to book one of my free scans for this weekend or next then I'll only have 2 or 3 weeks until my anomaly scan so that should space the time out!

Morning MDD, sorry you've had a rubbish night! I've been using a duvet cover without the duvet IYSWIM as it's too hot for the duvet but I like something on me, I get up every night at around 3/4 to pee, at least it's practice for having to get out of bed in the night! How lovely about your friend's baby :-) If I had a doppler then I think I'd be too obsessive with it, my mum got us a pinard horn but think baby is still too small to hear with it.
Jem - Hope you managed to get some sleep x
AFM - It's been way too hot for me this weekend, I've not been out, other than popping out into the garden yesterday. I'm glad we've got good weather but a bit cooler would be nice! All good otherwise, apart from the fact that it's Monday!
15/07/2013 at 07:27
MDD- sleep at the moment is so hard isn't it. If I thought the weather would stay I'd buy a fan but I know if I do it will go cold again!
BE- hope it cools down a bit near you
AFM- had BIL pop over to visit yesterday with his 3 year old so we all went to the park for the day.
I finally won a double pushchair on eBay. Managed to get a bargain as hardly anyone bid as they were all out in the sunshine and forgot it was ending I think! H is going to pick it up tonight so fingers crossed it looks nice. Means I have to sell my silver cross surf now to pay for it so will be sad to see that go as I have loved it. Also means W will no longer able to be parent facing and have to face forward so I am going to really miss seeing her face and chatting to her as we walk along. But at least I've finally got my double sorted so I can tick it off my to do list.

Boo for rubbish sleep MDD, lovely news about your friend though.
BE, hope its a bit cooler for you today
Jellytot, congratulations on getting the double, it's nice to work your way through a to do list.
Afm, boring day at work today, got my 16 week appointment with mw tomorrow, quite excited by that!
It's super hot today. Thank god for the air con in the office.
Miss Deedee - It's not easy sleeping in this is it? I had one of those night on Sat. More to do with OH though. He went on a stag do, came home wasted and threw up on the bedroom floor. Needless to say, he spent all day yesterday making it up to me. hee hee!
BE - I am also on a 3/4 pee rota too. :-)
Jelly tot - glad you have got the pushchair sorted! Love and Ebay bargain!
Edited for Mrs Penguin - Hi and good luck for your appointment xx
Further news - Pram is ordered! Whoop! Also had an email from the lady making my bumper set and bunting to say it is all finished. Most excited! Busy week this week with eyebrow and hair appointments ready for my sisters wedding on saturday!

MDD, you poor thing, this weather is great but it's do difficult to sleep. I hope you manage a decent night tonight.
BE, I hope your Monday isn't too bad. It's the worst day of the week!
JT, great news about the double. I bet you're excited to get it and play with it?
Mrs P, I hope today goes fast for you.
Lp, I saw your post on FB about the pram. It made me want to go and look but I'm still holding out.
AFM. Shattered doesn't even cover it. After spending 8 hours getting to Oxford on Saturday we thought there was no way we could have bad luck and get stuck again?! Big mistake. The journey toon us 6 hours rather than 3! So I spent a total of 14 hours driving this weekend!!!
On a positive, I've only just got up because I'm seeing the mw at 10 for my 16 week appt so at least I've managed a lie in. I hope everyone has a good day!
15/07/2013 at 08:56
MrsP- luckily I don't have much of a list as the double is the only thing I have got so far! Hope the MW appointment goes well tomorrow
LP- you will have to flash some pics of your bumper set when it arrives.
IMP- yes very excited to play with it. Unfortunately H won't be home with it until late so will have to wait until tomorrow to take it for a test drive . Your weekend sounds like it was exhausting, It must have been awful in this heat. Enjoy your MW appointment
Looking a lot cooler and quite cloudy here today so wonder if that's the nice weather done with for near me
15/07/2013 at 10:21
MDD - I know what you mean it was baking!!
BE - I do the same with the duvet cover!
JT - double pushchair sounds good I got my pram off eBay and its fab so hopefully yours is too!
MrsP - I loved my 16 week appointment got to hear the heartbeat for the first time :)
LP - another pram its defo getting exciting now eh?
IMp - driving sounds awful!! Especially in this heat :(
AFM - I'm at work and quite cool which makes a change! Had a row with OH last night over closing the curtains!! (not sure if pregnancy hormones or he just being a git lol!) This week is exciting I'm 20 weeks on Thursday (whoop halfway!) and having my scan then too! Still debating finding out the sex or not! Had a busy weekend with a friend BBQ on the Saturday then my sister and her OH over yesterday we went for a pub lunch which was nice but totally knocked me out not sure of food or heat but had a lovely 2 hour snooze later on! ha ha
15/07/2013 at 10:56
Hi RL, Not long until your scan now, how exciting. Does one of you want to find out the sex and the other not? Or are you both unsure?
Back from my MW appt, I was in there all of 10 mins and most of that was her battling with the veins in my arm! I feel like I should be doing more or asking more questions, but she just said that everything was fine and that was it! Got my scan appt 3 weeks tomorrow so I'm looking forward to that now.
15/07/2013 at 12:09
Imp - He wants to know I didn't but now thinking maybe I do want to know....ha ha Yes I always feel like I should be asking more questions but most of the time once she says all is fine I just can't think of anything to ask!
15/07/2013 at 12:30
missdeedee I think that's good advice from your MW friend. I know that I would defintiely get obsessed if I had one. That's a good deal you got on scans. Hopefully the time will go quickly til your next one
BE I agree with you about it being too hot. Unfortunately I have a toddler who loves being outside so I have no choice and get dragged out at every available opportunity. I've just given in to the sweatiness!! yuk.
JT Yay! for the ebay win, I love a bargain. I still need to get our double sorted. By this time when I was PG with Isla we had our pushchair ordered.
Mrs Penguin Hope your appointment goes well tomorrow hopefully you'll get to hear the heartbeat.
LP I love getting all pampered ready for a good wedding. enjoy! and whoop for pram ordering x
Imp Glad you could have a lie in after all your driving at the weekend, did you get to hear the heartbeat today?
RL Good luck for Thursday's scan. We couldn't decide whether to find out the sex or not this time around so I let H decide in the scanning room and he said he wanted to. It will be lovely to see baby again whatever you decide.
AFM really quiet day at work today, not that I'm complaining in this heat. It does mean however that I have been on ebay a fair bit so Isla potentially has a lot of summer clothes coming her way oops! I don't feel so bad knowing we can use it all again for this baby. Must get my MATB1 form from MW this week too as I only have a week to go before I'm off for the summer. Think the form has to be in by 25 weeks. All good with bump Still moving loads and growing even more. We had a lovely weekend out and about just the three of us. Went against my better judgement yesterday and ventured to the beach. Parking was a nightmare we abandoned the car on a housing estate as all carparks were full. Was worth it though to see Isla ebjoying herself in the water xx
15/07/2013 at 13:27
Mrs B I miss living near the sea/beach so I'm very jealous! When are you supposed to get your matb1 form?
I didn't get to hear the heartbeat, she didn't listen for it. I was a bit gutted tbh but she said they don't do it at 16 weeks.
15/07/2013 at 13:36
Hi ladies, I've been sooooo busy with LO birthday over the weekend (plus influx of relatives!) i didnt get on here at all. Off to see if I can find the weekend thread and catch up on the gossip. Back in a mo
15/07/2013 at 14:09
Me again, I have read thru both hreads now and have memory of a fish so no personals right now. Except, we bought a heartbeat listening whatsit (off amazon!) last time, it was quite difficult to locate babies heartbeat before 20weeks (in fact, after that aswell) however it did provide lots of fun finding our our heartbeats (LOL) and listening to 'swooshy' type noises in my tummy and if we were very very patient eventually hearing a faster heartbeat ... babies!
Defo get one - just dont expect to place it on your tummy and magically hear a heartbeat!
15/07/2013 at 14:38
Imp I think you can get the MATB1 anytime from 20/21 weeks. If it's your first pregnancy you usually get given it at your 24 week MW appointment. As this is my second baby I don't get a 24 week appointment so MW said she'd leave it at the surgery reception for me.
We are very lucky and only live 20 mins from Lyme Regis and it is gorgeous there. x
15/07/2013 at 16:29
Hi hf, I'd worry that if I couldn't find the heart beat I'd get myself into a right state.
Thanks mrs B!
15/07/2013 at 17:25
Hi all, sorry I'm on my phone and can't catch up for personals. Imp I don't even get a 16week appointment but I have one at 22 weeks and I've to pick up my matb1 then? I know I've said this a hundred times but it still suprises me how different it is across the country!
I think I'm going to give the Doppler a miss, it's probably just something I will become obsessed with and be trying to check for a HB all the time and as you say, imagine if I can't find it. I know I'll feel better when I start feeling movements, just wish that was sooner!
15/07/2013 at 19:59
Hope everyone is ok!
Not sure if anyone will read the thread this late but wanted to stick my head in. Today was the 1st day of a massive 2 week event, my working day was 8am -7 pm :-( So I doubt I'll get to post much the next week or so but i will be catching up on my phone!
My manager has told a few people in the team to ensure im not given any thing heavy to carry etc!
i'll proably post in th evenings if anything exciting happens!
15/07/2013 at 20:21
Hi mrs bass! Try and take it as easy as you can, it sounds as though that's a tough couple of weeks coming up.
15/07/2013 at 20:26
Hi mrs bass. Do try and take it easy whenever you can x
