morning everyone. Although it's Monday, at least ghe sun is shining.
Not much to report here. Back to school today so up bright and early for that. Babywise everythings fine.
15/04/2013 at 07:12
Morning Bunny, glad the sun is shining for you.
Back to school here too for me and Joshua, and I've been asked to do a load of cover today and tomorrow so that's my plans changed already - hey ho! All well baby wise, lots of big wriggles last night that were almost visible from the outside which was cool.
15/04/2013 at 07:31
Hope you both have good first days back.
AFM - not much planned today, going to take A to a messy play group this morning, then if the sun is shining I might take him out with the camera. Hoping he'll have a decent nap this afternoon so I can finish watching the F1, even though the stupid radio told me the result yesterday. Babywise, getting a few more wriggles which is lovely. I was trying to teach A about there being a baby in Mama's belly last night and he now thinks there is a baby and dinner in his belly, a baby and cake in my belly and a baby and dinner in H's belly. Think we may need to repeat that lesson before he offends someone by saying there is a baby in their belly!

Bunny - hope being back to school isnt to bad.
Margot - you too on the school front and yay for movement!
BG - Hope you have a nice day. My niece told me I had a big belly the other day! At least everything they say if completely honest and innocent!
AFM - not a lot of movement this weekend, although with an anterior placenta and 'only' being 25+5 I'm not sure how much I should be feeling or when to worry. Any advice from 2nd time mums? Put the travel system and pram etc together last night, its really easy to put up and down and swap and change the different bits so I'm really pleased with it. Tried to buid the cot on Friday, but took it out of the box and it was damaged. Kiddicare were good though, no quibbles and sending a replacement this week and collecting the duff one. I'm off to poke baby and try get it to move more!

Morning bunny, hope you have a good day. Sun is shining here too!
Margot, hope back to school/work goes well today
BG, haha that's cute about A. Sure he'll catch on as your bump gets bigger
PC, glad you're enjoying your travel system, mine's not arriving until June! waahhh! Hope you can get some wriggles today
AFM - was at the zoo on Saturday and then baking cakes all day yesterday. Lovely weekend, but felt really uncomfortable by last night from all the standing/walking. Baby woke me up this morning with movements. They were different though - not exactly kicks, just general moving. Wonder whether he was moving position. Seeing MW tomorrow - 9 weeks since last appointment so will be good to get checked over!
15/04/2013 at 08:22
PC - I had an anterior placenta last time, and IIRC movements were still quite sporadic until closer to 30 weeks, I think it depends on position of baby. Sounds like you're still getting some movements though so I wouldn't worry too much. If you are though, you can always give your mw a call, they'll send you in for monitoring, although personally I'd only do that if I was getting no movements. What travel system have you gone for?
PW - Sounds like a lovely weekend, GL for the mw tomorrow x
15/04/2013 at 08:27
BG - thanks, its annoying as when I saw MW on Thursday I'd had two days of being kicked to pieces! Since then its been sporadic to say the least. Placenta is high as well, so I guess if its moved and feet are high that may effect it too? This pregnancy lark is so stressful! We got the Britax B-smart 3, it all clips in and out really easily, H is well excited about it, it appears clothes and mobiles = boring, prams and techno stuff = exciting!
PW - I like going to the MW (even though I dont like her!), gives me little milestones to look forawrd too and passes the time!
15/04/2013 at 08:48
Wasn't able to get on over the weekend :(
bunny - enjoy the sunshine if you can, makes Monday's a tiny bit easier to bear.
margot - lovely to be feeling lots of wriggles, can't wait til I can start feeling some although will be a while yet!
BG - that's so funny about A, was he excited about having a little brother or sister or is he not quite sure what it all means yet?
PC - I can't offer any advice on the baby kicking sorry, I'm sure everything is ok though :) exciting about your travel system, I think we are going to start looking soon, it's a blummin' minefield though! So much to choose from!
PW - lovely weekend for you, good luck for your appointment tomorrow
AFM - actually managed to get to the gym this weekend which was lovely, although I didn't do much and I am suffering today, my hips are really sore. Sun is shining here too so feeling quite chipper this morning despite the achy-ness :)
15/04/2013 at 08:58
Morning all, sun shining here too but it's supposed to start raining later until Thursday! My H is on nights this week and I never sleep as well when he isnt here. He got in at 7 though and stayed up with the kids so I got an extra hours sleep. Nursery back today thank god! Nothing planned, going on holiday in 4 weeks - might start trying to write lists of what we need to pack lol. All fine baby wise, think I'm 26+2, keep losing track.
Will be back on later for personals

Bunny – hope you have a good day.
Margot – wow, I can’t wait to be able to feel/see the movements from the outside, that must be amazing! Damn stupid anterior placenta.
Bridget – I guess that’s a start.. But yeah, maybe warn some people especially if they’d get easily offended!
Porkchop – exciting having a little play with the pram. That’s great how Kiddicare are sorting it for you no issues, hope the new one arrives soon. And agree on my H being fairly similar. So much so, he’s wheeled the pram into our bedroom recently, while I was resting!
Pirate Wife – sounds like you had a lovely weekend, get yourself some rest now. Hope MW goes well tomorrow.
Popcorn – the gym?! I am impressed!
Ally – fingers crossed the rain holds off. Hope you have a good day. Wow, I’m impressed with the thinking about a list already.
AFM – firstly apologies for being AWOL for the past two weeks. After staying at my mums for a few days while H was in Iceland.. We went shopping and got some cute bits for baby, so I think now we’re going to stop buying baby clothes until baby is here. Then MIL arrived last Tues and left on Sat. We ended up taking her around Shakespeare’s houses and town, which she loved but I was exhausted by the end of the day. Walking is one thing, but plodding around and dawdling – she spent nearly half an hour in each gift shop – they all sell the same thing!! So, I left them to it each day for a bit while I went and enjoyed a relaxing (decaf) coffee and cake!
Babywise – not a huge amount to update you on. Still only feeling movements low when I’m relaxing, but they are happening a little more throughout the day instead of just night time. Oh, but I have now started with the leaking boobs in the morning. H is finding it funny but freaky at the same time!
MORNING ALL!!! The worst two weeks of my working year are over!! Woohoo!!
Right then, down to business!
bunny - back to school, must suck for the early starts, but be nice to get a bit of routine back into your day!
margot - loving the wriggles!! feels so magic! don't work to hard dear!
BG - I love that A thinks everyone has a baby in their belly, how sweet!! I hope the sun stays shining for you!
PC - Good that kiddicare are being helpful, they do seem excellent! I think you went for the same pushchair as us Britax Bsmart 3? If so, did you get the carrycot and how fun is putting the rain cover on?!
PW - good luck with the appt today, hope all goes well! You've now made me crave cake!
Popcorn - gym? are you quite mad!? Whatever floats your boat i suppose, i hope things stop aching soon, you'll have enough pain to contend with later on!
AFM - A lovely weekend of sunshine! We now have a door on the baby's bedroom at the spare room! So once the skirting boards and picture rails are up i can finally get on with decorating the baby's room!! :) :)
15/04/2013 at 09:18
PC, I don't like my community mw either - she seems really stupid! I'm sure she's not, but she seems it!
popcorn, glad you've got some sunshine too! joining you on the achy bench today. take it easy!
Ally, ahhh how exciting to have a holiday planned! We've just agreed to go away for our 1st anniversary when I'll be 37 weeks! It'll be only one night somewhere local but I'm still really excited!
Sapphire, sounds like you've had a lovely and busy couple of weeks! I've not experienced leaky boobs yet - got that joy to come!
PB, the cake was for someone else so couldn't even eat it!! How are you going to decorate the nursery?
15/04/2013 at 09:35
PW - we booked the holiday before I found out I was pg. Not sure how much fun driving to France from Glasgow will be at 30 weeks, plus 2 days at Disneyland lol
15/04/2013 at 09:39
PB- yep same as you. We got the carrycot, not tried the raincover yet! Although I'm disappointed that its kind of collapseable not solid as I wanted to use it for sleep during the day with a crib upstairs, and cant do that now, so back to the drawing board!
PW - mine is the same, I feel like I know more than her, and shes a total scatter brain, which isnt very reassuring! She reminds me of T-Bag from the late 80's TV show, but I think you may be a little younger than me so you may have missed it!
15/04/2013 at 10:09
Bunny & Margot hope your first day back at school go well
BG how cute of A!
PC mines an anterior placenta although is high so I feel baby quite abit low down. Sometimes really kicks other times just little bubbles. If you've been busy you may not have noticed the little movements. Exciting about the pram!
Pop ouch to the gym! I can't do anything but swimming and walking now
Ally your holiday sounds great!
Sapphire a few people have said about this leaky boob business...yikes!
PB exciting stuff about the baby's room!
PW maybe it's turning to right position
Afm annual leave week with H and going away this weekend for our first wedding anniversary! Eek! Excited as its a surprise where were going! H has sorted it all out! Had a nightmare day at work yesterday and came home to see H had painted the nursery! It's brighter than I thought but hopefully will look toned down when the white furnitures in there. Going to look at carpet today!
15/04/2013 at 10:31
Pork chop - I'm not really sure about it, i think i need to pop back to my grandads (where it's stored) and have another look. We were hoping to do the same thing during the day - what a headache! The rain cover is tight to say the least. I arrived at grandads where both my parents and him were struggling with it upside down. The instructions go:
step one: remove rain cover from packet
step two: unfold raincover
step three: attach rain cover to carry cot.
How helpful is that??
Pirate wife -we're going woodland themed! white painted floor boards with three toadstool rugs from asda. The walls are white with a hint of yellow up to the picture rail and white with a hint of blue above the rail. We're putting trees all around the room but with one really big one on the chimney breast which will have branches that reach into the alcoves on either side. Hubs will then put shelves up on the branches for me. my very artistic friend is going to draw for me, squirrels, rabbits, fawns, birds etc. We were going to go very enid blyton, and still might a little bit - sort of magic faraway tree. I'm buying to paint from ebay that goes on white but glows in the dark, so we can add stars all over the ceiling. I can't wait to get started with it!!
15/04/2013 at 10:36
Duckford, what colours have you gone for in the nursery?
15/04/2013 at 10:44
PB perhaps I just wont go out in the rain! H is going to sort out the car seat isofix bit tonight so I'll get him to look at the raincovers too.
15/04/2013 at 11:40

Duckford-have a lovely time away
AFM- im now 20+6 scan last week all ok, and found out to be team blue! Started buying a few bits now which is lovely.
Been feeling a few kicks but not consistant, when are they meant to get more regular? Starting to get annoyed on peoplr commenting that my bump is too small, im sure comments will only get worse!
