Penny we went for silver cross furniture. I'll find a pic and flash later. Sounds like you had a great day y'day! I'm just about to email you.
CK I love my doppler, so glad I got one now. Especially for H as he's only felt the baby move once so it's nice for him to hear the HB!
AFM first day back at work in 2 weeks. Just on the train on my way. Gutted doesn't even come close to describing it! Nevermind!x

Loving all the nursery and purchasing news, makes it all seem more real!
Penny, glad you have all the stuff sorted, have a good day.
CK, yay for lots of baby movements, hope the weather stays nice if you are out and about.
MissDeeDee, hope today flies by for you and is a nice gentle back to work day.
Not much from me today, still sore and achey but on my way to work so here's hoping for a quiet one x

Penny- how exciting with all the new nursery stuff, has your furniture arrived? I bet it all makes it feel a lot more real!!
CK- I found the baby's HB on a doppler for the first time last night, it's so wonderful isn't it!
MDD- Hope your first day back isn't too painful and goes quickly!
Mrs P- Hope you feel less sore as the day goes on and work is nice and quiet for you.
AFM I am back in work after a wonderful weekend, my brother's wedding was fantastic (I didn't muck up the reading!) and we exchanged on our new house on Friday, and then yesterday heard baby's HB on the doppler for the first time (this is after thinking I could hear it at 10 weeks or so then realising it was actually mine- hah!) It was lovely for OH to listen too, so much of this is 'happening' to me that it's nice to find ways to make him feel part of it all too!
I'm very crampy today, I think I possibly over did it this weekend so going to take it easy, should be a nice quiet day at work too :-)

Penny, I find I'm wishing time away!
Ck, yay for movements :)
MissDD, hope work passes quickly for you!
MrsPenguin, hope you have a quiet day!
Afm, lots of movement. He never seems to stop wriggling and kicking! Got my 26 week check at home on Friday. Need to go to the doctor to be examined as got a lot of soreness down below and worried about it :/ Not sure if there will be a cure lol!

Penny- That is exciting, do u have it all up and the nursery ready?
CK- must be great listenning to the heart beat, it is top of my list of questions for my next midwife appt!
missdeedee- i hope ur first day back isnt toobad? where did u get ur doppler from & how much was it, if u don't mind me asking?!
MrsP- I dont think ive logged on since ur fall but i read about it! hope your ok and the bruises arent too ugly?! Glad that baby was ok!
Rose- definatly take is easy for a bit, put our feet up!! Everyone has a doppler! I convinced my friend not to get one but now im thinking i might if midwife cant let me listen to the HB
Chimp- how ur 'down below' area is on the mend soon!!
Hi Rosy Lee!
AFM- we had a lovely chilled weekend, H only had one gig so he was around most of the weekend, it was actually his first weekend since we moved in he has been in the house! he did lots of jobs around the house y.day and even mowed the lawn! we lived in the old house for 18 month and i always mowed the lawn!
Saturday we had a trip to Ikea and we got a nice bright rug for the nursery. then we went to look at prams!! H got very involved and was playing with lots to see how they all folded and car seats swapped for carry cots etc. so much so he broke a couple!! We think we have found 'the one' Joie Chrome. Mothercare are doing 15% off online orders over £100 until the end of this month and KiddiCare have the car seat half price so i think we are ordering it this week! eeek!
Those that have their prams already, where are you keeping them?!

Penny you're so organised! great that you have all the nursery stuff, can't wait to see the finished result!
ck I'm really wishing I'd got a doppler now!
mdd hope today isn't too stressful for you
mp hope you're not too achy, just take it easy today
Rose, glad you had a good weekend
Chimp hope the dr can sort you out (OK that sounds wrong but you know what I mean lol)
RL I usually have the same problem, just poke my head in every few days!
MB that really does sound like a brilliant weekend!
AFM a whole week off work! I've had a really productive weekend and finished both my last assignment and my end of module assessment for my pgdip so at least that's over with now. Will have a week of sorting now I think. Finally managed to get hold of OH this morning, I had an email off his brother yesterday to say he'd been taken to hospital on Saturday night (didn't say which one or anything) with chest pains and they kept him in but were letting him out yesterday. Never heard anything all day yesterday but had an email off OH this morning to say he is coming out today. He was diagnosed with unstable angina a couple of weeks ago and they think he's had a minor heart attack. I'm glad he's ok (says he's just tired) but on an entirely selfish note that means I'm not going to get anything sorted on that front for a while. Does that make me really terrible?
19/08/2013 at 18:30
CK we've bought a cot, changer and wardrobe, and also the Mamas and Papas Jamboree nursery interior set. It's all on order and coming in stages in September and October but I'm so excited and I want it noooow! What kind of mattress would you recommend, what did you use before?
Missdeedee, where's this flash of your furniture then?? Got your email, will reply in a bit. Hope your first day back wasn't too painful.
Hope you had a good day MrsP.
Wow you had a busy weekend Rose, sounds like it was a lovely one. I was crampy at about 15 weeks too, it's everything really starting to stretch - as well as maybe overdoing it a bit :-)
Chimpanzee, I know, time is going so slowly at the mo. Hope the doctor can sort out the soreness for you.
Mrs Bass, Nope not yet it won't all be here until October. But some of it was out of stock until October so we thought we had better order in now, rather than wait until October to order it and it be out of stock until baby is here. Sounds like you had a busy and productive weekend. That's a nice pram you've picked, what colour did you go for?
Jem, no that doesn't make you terrible, just practical. I'm glad your OH is ok but that sounds pretty scary. Are you going round to see him soon?
I think baby has somehow managed to turn himself upside down and appears to be gently kicking me in the ribs. It doesn't hurt but it's quite uncomfortable. Can't really complain though :-)
19/08/2013 at 18:57
Penny im still not sure what's happening, he said this morning they were letting him out and i asked him to let me know when he was home but I've not heard anything at all since :-(
Love feeling movements, at least its not painful at the moment
19/08/2013 at 19:03
Evening ladies. First day wasn't too bad, glad it's over though!
Penny this is our furniture
There was a separate changing table but we've just gone for the cot top changer. We're the same, our furniture and pram etc is all coming In to the shop over the next 6-10 weeks. We've got a week off at the end of oct so planning to paint the nursery then and get the furniture delivered, we'll get the pram nearer the time as they will store everything for us.
my bambino had been head down, feet up at every scan so all my kicks are in the ribs! I do get an equal amount of punches low down to compensate though!

Sorry it's a fleeting hello from me tonight. Am absolutely shattered from a manic weekend of nephews birthday party, In laws and distant family that were viditing and a busy day at work. My little gem has been giving me gyp today. His foot I'm sure has been firmly lodged in my lady bits, causing me agony. Last night was my ribs and today much lower down. Ive been stretching and trying everything to get him moving. It's finally becoming less painful and heavy down there, so thats good!
Hope your all well!
Catch up soon

MissDeeDee that furniture is beautiful, I love it!
19/08/2013 at 20:47
Sorry Mrs Bass, meant to say, ours was £45 and we got it on amazon. You can get good ones for £15-£20 we only spent so much as the one we have has a digital display screen which shows you the bpm so I 100% know its the babies heartbeat and not my pulse! I only got that one as I was only 15weeks or something so the baby was still quite small then. I have no problem finding the HB now and don't need the display now, I can tell its the baby.
Thanks Mrs P, it was one of the first sets we saw and I couldn't stop thinking about it when we went to look at anything else!x

Jem I hope he calls you soon. It's not fair to be out of hospital and not let you know (if he is).
Missdeedee I love love love your furniture. Our cots and wardrobes are similar but your dresser/ unit is smaller as we did go for the kind with a changer on top. But apart from that we're going to have very similar nurseries I think!
Gemini it sounds like you've been very busy. I hope your baby moves soon and stops poking at things!
20/08/2013 at 07:19
We got one from ebay, had springs and foam etc. We have a cotbed so wanted one which would last. (We havent converted cot but her bed is same size so mattress now in it) removable washable covers a must imo! I think it was £39.99
