Congrats again to Coco! Amazing news :)
Our numbers are definitely dwindling now!
Had an okay weekend, made up with mum - she came round to the house on Saturday and although I was out she spoke to H. Although she didn't apologise it was her way of doing so iykwim. Family roast yesterday was lovely. Having a new carpet fitted this week which should have been done not long after we moved in but the landlady is useless. It's the living room carpet which goes from the dining room upstairs and on the landing! So we have to clear our furniture somehow this week! I'm quite stressed about it but trying hard not to be! Had some stitch-like pains this morning but they've gone now :/
Hello to those that follow x

I'm pleased to hear you've made up with your mum. Hope the carpet fitting goes ok this week and also that your stitch like pains don't make a return.
AFM, I ended up at the maternity triage last night. I won't go into all the long details but long story short is that I'd been having constant really uncomfortable period type pains for some time and I went in to be checked out. Everything was fine although they think I might have an infection of some sort. Will have to wait for the results. My mum's coming over today to help out with F as I'm still not feeling up to much at all.
Big congrats to Coco on the birth of baby Arthur x

That's good that your mum made some kind of effort to apologise. Hopefully you can do jenga with the furniture! I think any pain is heading in the right direction. You are right numbers are dwindling!
Picked up the Moses basket, car seat and pram wheels that the car seat fits on from my parents at the weekend and had a good time at my sisters BBQ, although a bit tired now! Will be seeing if any of it needs washing today. I'm hoping to pop into the local town to pick up an order from boots today. We also told them that if baby is born midweek (my parents are hour and a half away) we are going to have a few days of no visitors as we want to get some time with just us and baby. We never got this with k so think its important this time. If baby's born at the weekend then they can come up one day for a few hours because of the distance but no more. They were fine with that and understood. Just got to tell my sister and the in-laws now.

Morning WG. I'm glad you got checked out to put your mind at ease and your mum is coming to help out today. I hope you can take it easy and if there is an infection the results come back quickly so it can be treated.
18/08/2014 at 08:53
WG - glad everything is ok with baby. Hope if you do have an infection that it's nothing serious and can be treated easily. Try and rest as much as you can whilst you have help.
Bunny - sounds like you are getting organised. Well done on enforcing a no visitors rule I think it's sensible and glad they understood.
My hips/pelvis are sore today. Had my support on but can't wear it whilst bouncing on my fit ball! Finished my active birthing book last night, just half of my hypnobirthing book to go! Feel a bit more positive about labour now though x

Good morning all! cannot believe I'm here, although I still can't believe I'm pregnant so I suppose it's a theme
Huge congrats to coco! Gorgeous name, I love it!
Browny - hope the carpet is in quickly and you can get back to normal, glad you made up with your mum
Bunny - good for you saying about no visitors. I'm sure the ils will understand.
Wg - hope you are feeling ok now, glad all ok on scan
Afm, I fainted on fri so wasn't in work Saturday, went back yesterday but boss had brought in extra staff so I was literally just doing prescriptions felt a bit bad as everyone Molly cuddling me and it was likely I was just a bit hot :-/
Not sure if anyone remotely cares as our name saga has been going on for 3 months now but we are sorted
It's hs birthday today, he's not had a good weekend as he's had loads to do at home as we are having loads of renovations done, but bday cake tonight when he gets in. New car is currently en route to our house, I could almost wet myself with excitement
Baby girl fine, hospital tomorrow so itl be interesting to see the position as I seem to get kicks in the weirdest of places
Take care all

Sorry can't edit, Wg I didn't mean all ok on scan meant ok on monitoring, I'm half asleep

Browny that's good that you are feeling more positive about labour. I've got a hypnobirth thing to listen to but haven't started yet. Must find where its saved on the computer!
Hello rf!welcome to 3rd tri. Yay for being sorted with a name. It was the middle name causing you bother wasn't it? What car have you gone for?
18/08/2014 at 09:56
Middle name sorted now lol, I was totally panicking as we are always sorted very early (it's daft but just since we lost William for us we need them to have a name iyswim) so I was v uncomfortable knowing she didn't have a middle name but thank god it's done lol. It's just a citreon c4 grand Picasso but it's all mine, I usually get hs car and he gets the new one so I'm so chuffed, I realise it's a mini bus but still vvv excited as it has lots of gadgets with it (I was excited when we got the corsa and it had electric windows) and this has lots of stuff so I'm desperate for a play , not sure when il pluck up the courage to drive it, might just sit on my drive and press some buttons today

RF - welcome! Lovely to see you here :) sorry to hear you fainted but cake tonight sounds good! Glad you are sorted on names. We are if it's a boy but can't agree on a girls name and it's stressing me out. The name we had picked out for years is now quite popular and I didn't want anything popular :/

Lots of lovely ba's recently!!
Browny: Hope it's not stressful to move the furniture & don't over do it x
WG: Glad to hear the aches aren't baby related, rest up today & I hope they go very soon
Bunny: Sounds like you're all sorted with baby purchases. As for the babymoon, that's what we did when Isobelle was born. My sil really struggled to bf in front of people so spent most of the time we visited hidden in a bedroom so I was determined to have a few days to get to grips with feeding before anyone came & for us to have an idea of her cues before anyone told us about our own baby. As she arrived on a Thursday our 1st visitors didn't arrive until the sunday so it worked ok. Want to do the same again this time as Isobelle has taken well to me holding any other babies & I need her to realise that the baby is ours to stay before anyone comes over.
RF: Glad to hear you're all sorted with names, I'm very jealous as we're no where near that point yet!! Sorry it took me awhile to pay for the baby boy bits, at last he might actually have some clothes!!! Hope your appointment goes well tomorrow.
AFM: Had a busy weekend, went to a wedding reception on Friday & didn't get home to 2 & I'm still feeling the effects! It was my hubbies friends & 1 of the guests, that I've met a few times, wants to off load lots of baby boy clothes on us which is great! We then met up with the inlaws on sat which was fun. I don't like them coming here as my MIL is very critical & rude & since I've been focused on sorting out Isobelle's room the other rooms are a bit of a mess. It actually didn't go as badly as I'd feared. They'd got Isobelle a few books (always good) & a few bits for the baby including booties which I, very bravely, told her that, as with Isobelle, we won't be using shoes until he's walking & then it'll be proper shoes. I'm not sure if I was being a bit harsh but I'd rather she took them back & got her money back as my h never says anything & she bought shoes for Isobelle when I was bridesmaid at a wedding when she was 2 months old & I didn't put her in them. They'd also bought Isobelle 2 lovely summer dresses which 1) a bit late in the season & 2) they are size 2-3 & she's only in 12-18 months so they won't fit until next summer!!! They've also got her a wooden school desk (the ones with the ink wells) & we had to explain that we don't have room & the lid is properly not safe as it'll be heavy for a 2 year old. They've got good intentions but rarely hit the mark. That & I have to bite my tongue every time she calls me mummy!!
Whoops, seem to have gone off on 1 again! Take care all x x

Rf enjoy playing with your car!
Browny we are the opposite! Girls name sorted, boys names not so sure and baby is a blue one too!
Bk that's good to hear that it worked for you. I'm thinking the same about the feeding and with k where we went from hospital to hospice then home but with appointments most days and visitors at weekends we didn't have much alone time as a family. Glad that the visit from the in-laws went OK.at least you can keep the dresses for next year!
No barefoot today so I wonder if there will be another birth announcement soon? If not baby out vibes to her.

Browny - moving furniture around sounds like a nightmare at any time never mind at this point in your pregnancy. Make sure you let someone else do all the work!!
WG - Glad to hear that everything is okay with baby, I hope they can sort the infection and the pains stop so that you've less to worry about x
Bunny - Sounds like you've had a busy weekend but a productive one too :) It's good to get rules set out early about who visits when so there is no debating it when you've just had a baby and you are too knackered to say no!
TRF - Sorry to hear you fainted. Don't feel bad about letting others take on the workload - you are into 3rd tri now, people have actual babies in here you know! Let them take off some of the pressure x
Blackkat - Staying out til 2am at 31 weeks pregnant is pretty good going I'd say! Some of the gift choices do seem a little odd - I think grandparents don't always think. My dad bought my bump a coverall for messy play. I did point out that Paperclip wasn't even born yet nevermind painting or getting messy but he said he saw it and couldn't resist!
AFM - I've decided that I was totally shortchanged at least 8 weeks of being part of 3rd tri and posting in here. Strictly speaking I'm 37+1 today so I've decided that makes me eligible to join in at least until my due date :P
18/08/2014 at 15:29
BK - good on you telling the ILs the truth. It's hard sometimes especially if your H is anything like mine and never stands up to his parents! I guess it's the thought that counts though and nice of them to buy things for them.
Bunny - good point re: BF! Hope things are happening for you BF and looking forwards to a BA!
PS - lol you are welcome here as long as you like! It'll be lovely to hear updates on how you and Ame are getting on xxx
Join away PS :)

Bunny - I think the no visitors rule is a good idea and one I might follow! I don't mind my mum coming over but last time one of my BILs turned up at home the same day at F was born - little did they know I was still in hospital! I'm temped to hold off on even telling people when she's born.
Browny - glad you're feeling more positive about labour now.
RF - hope you're ok after fainting the other day, well done to your boss for getting you to take it easier at work! Yay to getting the name saga sorted and double yay to new car!
BK - sometimes people really don't use their brains when they buy for kids, do they! Hope you so recover from your busy weekend.
PS - come on in, great to have you here :-)
So, my mum's been over and helped out with lots of housework. I didn't actually get to rest as much as I should've done but I find it so hard to put my feet up and let someone else do all the hard work! On a good note, I've had a call to say baby's wardrobe will be delivered a week on Friday - considering I ordered last week and was told it'd be 8 weeks I'm rather impressed!
18/08/2014 at 19:17
Aww thank you ladies. I nearly posted last week but thought it might be a bit odd. Ame now weighs 4lb 10oz :)
18/08/2014 at 20:22
WG that's good with the wardrobe! Normally these things take longer!
PS that's really good with the weight gain she must be starting to fit some of the tiny baby clothes now :)
