Seeing all the BAs makes it seem so real, I'm gonna have another baby soon!
Started to sort some baby clothes yesterday so they are all ready to be washed and I bought some bits for the hospital bag. My aim is to get that packed this week.
Our room is all finished now but we are not sure we're going to be able to fit the cot bed in there so im thinking of alternatives now, maybe going to bat a crib but don't want to spend too much as they won't be in it long!?
Quite a chilled day today, will probably take I to the park and get a few bit from town.
hope you all have good days

Morning banzy, im also hoping to get my hospital bag packed this week. I think crib sounds like a good idea and you can get some quite cheap
AFM- Had my surprise baby shower yesterday. Was lovely and baby got really spoilt! Think i might go to aquanatal this morning, i don't think i have been since i was in 2nd tri, so should really take it up again.
Congrats again to popcorn and noggin for your BAs

We couldnt fit a cot in our bedroom at previous house so had a crib (this one - but i didnt pay that for it! www.johnlewis.com/.../p231330995 ) we never had a moses basket, so didnt fork out for 3 different sleeping things. Baby was in it (in our room) for 8months so i think it was worth it.
I had it jammed right up against our bed with the dropside permanently down so it became an 'extension' of our bed. It was very handy for nighttime breastfeeding - i would feed in our bed lying down, she generally nodded off on the boob and then I could 'slide' her gently back to crib.....

Hi MS - How lovely re the baby shower :-)
All okay here, well still feeling a bit queasy but not actually been sick & only today & tomorrow left for antibiotics so planning to stick it out!. Plasterer due any second to do our hall. Sooooo looking forward to getting hall/stairs/landing decorated and finally changing the totally minging stairs carpet that we've had to put up since we bought the house a year & half ago.

Banzy - eeek exciting getting ready times! I put off the hospital bag for ages cos I hate packing at the best of times but this was especially scary packing. A very weird feeling!
MummyS - glad you enjoyed your baby shower. I love aquanatal and it feels better the more pregnant I get as it's such a novelty to feel light, give it a go today.
HF - morning! What are you up to today?
AFM - first official day of maternity leave today, it feels good to be lying in bed knowing that everyone is at work getting classrooms set up for the day! I need to do some tidying as my parents are coming up tomorrow, also am going to nip and visit a friend who hasn't been well to check she is doing ok. Baby has a foot wedged very firmly under my ribs at the moment which is so uncomfortable and making moving around very restrictive so I will also try to spend some decent time on my ball trying to get him moving downwards.

Cross-posted so now I know what HF is up to today! Ooh decorating is exciting, especially if you've been waiting a while for it.

Banzy, hope you have a lovely relaxing chilled out day .
MS, how lovely about the baby shower! Enjoy aqua natal.
Horsefan, good luck for getting the hall done.
Tina, enjoy your first day of maternity!
Afm, can't get going today so heading into work late! Got builders turning up to sort out our drive and bit of road, supposed to take a week, but hVe a feeling it will take 2. Neighbours will be pissed off, but sod them, the road is so pot holed , we 're doing them a favour!

Banzy- no experience with a crib but people tend to say they last quite a few months. Maybe see if you can find an eBay bargain
MS a baby shower sounds lovely. Enjoy aquanatal
HF hope the plasterer doesn't cause too much mess, it will be lovely once its all done though
TT enjoy your ML
AFM baby has been the most active ever over the weekend, and was dropping down really low on sat then bobbing back up. Starting to get the feeling she's not going to want to wait until my ELCS date. Got a letter on sat to say they've changed the time of my pre op from 9am to 2pm which makes it impossible for me to get there I'm so annoyed. We purposely booked 9am so H could come and then he could go to work after, but he works an hours drive away so a 2pm appointment would mean he'd basically have to take the full day off which he just can't do as has so much to get finished before he is off for the birth. Hoping to rearrange it for 9am on another day.
Congrats to popcorn and noggin. Had a quick look at the due date list- I think I'm next!!! That's very scary!!!

MrsP missed you there- hope the builders aren't too disruptive.

Sorry I have been AWOL! Have been very busy since starting mat leave sorting last bits and trying to get last bits in the house sorted. We are nearly there though but still hoping baby decides not to make an early appearance as I would like some time to put my feet up before the fun begins!
Huge congrats to popcorn and noggin- cant believe ive missed 2 BAs!
Banzy- maybe rry ebay for a crib? I picked mine up for £10 and just bought a new mattress and its like new. Didnt want to spend lots on something she would only use for a few months.
Ms- have a lovely day at aquanatal if you do decide to go
Hf- looks like its all go for you on thw house front too! Glad you are feeling a bit better today
TT- looks like a few of us started ML within a few days of each other. Even though ive been busy it has been so lovely knowing im not getting up for work.
MrsP- ive learnt that you can't do right when it comes to most neighbours so definitely dont worry yourself about it! Haha
JT- rubbish about the change of time. Really hope it isnt too much of a problem for you to change it.
AFM- more painting today... yawn! Nearly there though. Handle update- 2 down only our bedroom to go! H's dad didn't bring the right drill bit so couldn't finish it. So frustrating! Well we have finally been able to arrange a van for Friday so definitely moving SDs old bed and picking up the new wardrobe then. Hoping everything is going to be sorted by this time next Monday. Have started packing hospital bag but need to get some bits for me. Had the MW on friday and baby is 3/5 palpable.
Hope everyone has a lovely day!

Banzy- we got a crib from Kiddicare for £40, we felt the same about not wanting to spend too much!
Mummysimpson- how was the shower? What did u do? I think my best mate is organising something but I have no idea what!!
HF- hope u start to feel better soon
Tina- enjoy ur first day of mat leave! Hope the baby moves to a more comfortable position soon!
MrsP- hope u have an easy day ahead
Jellytot- thats a pain about ur pre op appointment. Hope u get another 9am appointment
Sam- make sure u get some time to relax before baby arrives! Glad to hear u are getting somewhere with project handles!
I have only recently got out of bed! Slept until about 10:30, not surprised, I knew I would need to catch up on sleep after such a busy few days. Im now in my pjs on the sofa watching trashy tv. I have no other plans for today!
H is going to see if he can get a day off tomorrow so we can go out for lunch somewhere!
Baby wise everything is fine. Most movements I can now see too which is weird. I want to try and film it but by the time I grab my phone they stop!
07/10/2013 at 11:58
Sam- exciting to know you should be all sorted by next week. We've still got lots to do but I've made H out all his tools away in the cellar now and no more FIY until after baby arrives
MrsBass enjoy your lazy day, sounds perfect!
Managed to get my ore op appointment back for the original time. Apparently it shouldn't have been booked for 9am originally as they're only meant to be in the afternoon but I made the secretary feel sorry for me that I had no way of getting to the hospital in the afternoon and would have to get three buses in my own at nine months pregnant with a toddler and spd so she spoke to a few people and got them to agree to see me at 9am still do I'm relieved about that.
Next job for today- call the website we bought our kitchen tap from- the top has popped off and water went literally everywhere, walls, ceiling , i was soaked! so I can't use my kitchen sink now! Only bought it 9 months ago so hoping they will send me a free replacement. ( although H will then have to fit it which will be scary!)

Mrs Bass. We had a little buffet and played some games, my favourite of which was "the nappy game". You had to smell these nappies that looked like they had been pooed in and guess what was inside, for example marmite. Also did a baby sweepstakes for birthday, weight, time.

Hi ladies sorry i'm late to the party today. Really busy day at work. Not in again now though til Friday as Thursday's an inset! MW tomorrow not a lot else planned, may take Isla to the park if the weather stays nice. Can't believe I have less than 4 weeks to go x
07/10/2013 at 19:51
Jellytot- that is great news about the appointment! What a relief!
mummyS- that sounds like fun
Hi Mrs B- hope u enjoy a few days off!
I didnt get a shower and dressed until 2pm! ive mainly watched telly and i did leave the house to pop across the road to get some lunch.
H couldnt get the day off tomorrow so need to re think my plans! might go a bit stir crazy having another day like today!
07/10/2013 at 20:22
Hi ladies, mind if I join you over here? I'm still totally in denial about hitting the third tri!! I'm not going to do personals as it's late and I'm ridiculously tired! Between baby keeping me up and my body starting to struggle (I have a genetic condition that affects my joints) I can't even see straight any more! Got my 28 week appointment tomorrow. It's a home visit and the house is nowhere near liveable yet so still at my parents, hope mw understands that...
Hopefully catch up with you all soon
