Hope you have had a good weekend. I didn't manage to get on and post. It was late last night before I managed to look at the thread properly.
An update from Weekender- she is back in hospital after another bleed yesterday evening. She is hoping to have a scan this morning. I know she would appreciate lots of positive vibes heading her way. She was also given the first lot of steroids last night. She is now just over 32 weeks. Keep cooking little man
Update from RayeRaye- I know she hasn't posted on here for a while. I'm not sure how many of you are aware that she unfortunately lost her daughter in December 2012 due to severe IUGR and signs of PE. She does think a lot about you girls but doesn't want to jinx anything by posting here. Well I am pleased to announce she is now 31 weeks. There seems to be no growth issues at all and her DD is growing nicely inside her this time. She is due to be induced at 37 weeks, so not long now. Her BP is also behaving itself. I know she too would appreciate lots of continuing to grow vibes.
AR- hope you're rash turns out OK.
ABC- glad your sleep was better. Your midterm will break up your time until you finish. I haven't even counted it in my weeks left!
CK- hope you are doing OK. Lots of baby out vibes to you.
Isis- Another one who slept well. Enjoy the rest of not doing the school run!
AFM- My 3 year old has been totally fine after having his pre school jabs on Friday. Had a nice day out yesterday with some friends. We went to soft play with the kids and then had a late lunch out together. Today my oldest has a school trip. I need to drop her to the station rather than school. Luckily H is around this morning so he is taking C to pre school. I then have the MW at 11. I purposely chose a slightly later time so I can fit in a sneaky cake and tea near the station ;-)

Happy Monday ladies!
AR, half term is so close you can almost smell it! I got inner elbow eczema in the lead up to my wedding, never ever had it before but am getting it in pregnancy. Hope your rash is nothing to worry about
ABC - glad you slept well, hope inspection goes smoothly
CK - lots and lots of baby out vibes to you! Hope your week isn't too busy
Isis - good news re a decent sleep, fingers crossed snow stays away
AFM, ear is better today but I'm not feeling good. Have decided to take today as sick as this week is a huge deadline, plus I'm working Sunday and I think if I go hard at it now I could end up off and poorly mid/late in the week when I can least afford it. I'll work (lightly) at home instead. Ear is better, glands less swollen so maybe not an infection but I'm permanently red-faced and woolly just through tired/under-weather, so an afternoon nap would do the world of good.

Oh Weekender! Huge hugs for her and family, really hope all is well xx
S4, your cake plan sounds smart, hope the school trip goes well.

Didn't get a chance to post this weekend but did read. Hope everyone is well.
Weekender - just seen the update from S4 - sending you lots of vibes that little man stays in for a bit longer. Hope you're doing ok x
AR - 9 days until half term sounds definitely doable! Hope the dr can sort out the rash.
ABC - glad you slep better. It really seems to make all the difference doesn't it.
CK - baby out vibes! Is he/she showing any signs of making an arrival?!
Isis - lovely that everyone is offering to help you out, definitely make the most of it!
S4 - thanks for the updates. Good to hear all is going well for RayeRaye. Enjoy the coffee and cake, hope the midwife goes well and all is ok with your BP.
AFM - spent the end of last week a bit fed up as it felt as though I hit 30 weeks and someone hit a switch that made me feel crap. Back was really sore, sleep was terrible and energy was zero. Thankfully yesterday and today I feel much better so hopefully it was just a blip. I do still have a sore back though which I think is because the baby is still lying transverse. She's needs to think about moving now as as it's starting to get uncomfortable!
I have my first nct class tonight which I'm a bit nervous about. I'm mainly doing it to hopefully meet a couple of people but I hate these sorts of situations so glad I'll have H with me. It'll be a mad dash home from work to get there and we don't finish the class till 10 so hoping I'll sleep well tonight!

AR- Hope the rash is ok
ABC- Glad you had a good sleep
CK- Hope your baby decides to start showing soon it must be frustrating for it to be your longest pregnancy on your third
Isis- Glad you had a good sleep too
S4- Good luck at the MW
Counter-Take care of yourself
Flossy- Glad you had such a good day
Weekender- I hope everything is ok, and the bleed turns out to be noting major. I had a bleed at about 30 weeks but thankfully it was nothing. I'm thinking of you
Rayeraye- If you read this please don't feel you have to stay away. I stayed away until nearly the third tri this time because I felt like a jinx after 3 MC's, but I think the support would have done me good. So glad you only have a few weeks left and DD is cooking well x
AFM - Quick message for NLH on my BF post someone mentioned they were able to BF an hour after a GA, made me wonder how one person can if the advice is not to for 24hrs after for both of us especially as I've not started leaking yet. All seems well, I'm determined to be more positive this week. I think the iron is kicking in because I feel less groggy which is helping
27/01/2014 at 09:25
I don't understand why you'd have to wait after a csection? The drugs will have mostly left your body hence being awake! I had a GA when J was older and fed him as soon as I was home (same day). If you can't feed for whatever reason skin to skin is massively important too so ask someone to help with that.
27/01/2014 at 09:34
Thank for that. I know NLH had been advised not to BF for 24 hours. I haven't got to the consent stage yet (booked for 12th March), so having seen NLH post was going to ask at my 36w appt because there's a 50/50 chance of needing GA for my C Section. I'll go armed with your post

AR- Not long until half term :) Hope the docs can help you with the rash.
ABC- Not too long to go for you. Glad you had a good sleep, makes a difference doesnt it.
CK- Hopefully baby will make an appearance soon. Are you getting on ok or feeling uncomfy etc?
Isis- Glad ou had a good sleep. How long is H away for? Thats good that you have helpers for school run.
Counter- Hope your better soon. good idea to take today off and get some rest.
S4- Haha, good idea baout the cake and tea! Hope the midwife goes well.
Weekender- Hope all is ok. Sending you lots of vibes.
Rayeraye- I often think of how you are getting on. Glad all is going well. Thanks for the update.
Flossy- Hope the class goes ok. I felt like that this weekend, hopefully it will be a blip too!
BLL- Glad you're feeling better.
AFM- Phew that was alot of personals! Had a great sleep last night...finally! Been sore all weekend, have done a sperate post but about an inch above my belly button has been really sore when i move etc. Its now got a ring around it like a bruise. H's football was off this sat so we went shopping with MIL and lunch which was nice but got caught in the storm. Quiet day at work which im grateful for.

Obviously if there's other drugs involved it might be different but if it's just anaesthetic then there should be no issue. The bfn is a brilliant resource and they also have a drugs helpline if you want to discuss any medication with someone qualified and knowledgable about breastfeeding. It might also be worth contacting a breastfeeding counsellor locally who can help you. You can also harvest colustrum antenatally. I had mastitis a couple of weeks ago and I had to express in the end as I was engorged and it's had no ill effects. Newborns tummies are so tiny you only need a small amount for one feed.
27/01/2014 at 09:57
I was always hoping to harvest anyway and take it frozen to the hospital just in case, but as of yet there's no sign of any milk coming. I've got 6 weeks yet though before I'm booked in, so maybe it'll happen.
27/01/2014 at 10:01
Just because you don't leak etc doesn't mean it's not there :) you could try hand expressing but you do have plenty of time, I wouldn't do anything yet.
27/01/2014 at 10:37
I can't believe it I've just got up, had a crap night sleep bit still 10am is impressive!
Bll - thank you for that post about the breastfeeding! I'm so confused with it all at the moment, I'm under three different departments and get told so many different things! I haven't seen my actual consultant since 20 something wks I keep seeing his colleagues, apparently I will see him when I go next week as he has to make his recommendations for my birth! Feeling really fed up about it all at the mo, had my baby shower at weekend and that was lovely but I'm just so miserable I dont know what's up with me!
Saw the news about WE, sending her loads of vibes! Sorry I've not done personals on everyone else! Hope your all ok though x
27/01/2014 at 13:07
Late on today girls so no chance to do personals. Thinking about WE and sending mega vibes! Also RayeRaye if you lurk please come and post if you feel up to it! So glad everything is progressing as it should.
All grand with me. MW appointment this avo but baby seems to be doing well as far as I can tell! The sore back is a constant pain but I've been lucky that's my only complaint!
Hopefully get on earlier later in the week.
27/01/2014 at 14:52
I'm late on too today so I'll say hello rather than do personals!
WE - Hope you are ok?
RayeRaye - lovely to see an update x
Hopefully I'll on properly tomorrow. Only 2 more Monday's to go at work now :)
