Am I the first on?!
Hope you all had a lovely weekend. I have had period type aches since yesterday, hoping it may be the start of something but doubt it! Went to ikea yesterday to get our bedroom furniture for the new house. Also popped to lakeside and upgraded our phones and I was naughty and bought some more baby clothes :) not much planned for today, just bouncing on my ball and resting I think.
Baby out vibes to counter and flossy.

Morning Bertie, whereabouts do you live? I'm in basildon 15-20 mins from lakeside!
Afm- midwife came Saturday my BP is normal and protein is gone woop woop, but she still wants to see me today so I'm staying in all day again !
Baby has been spectacularly active the last two days , it's been quit weird if I'm honest!

We ended up at Lakeside yesterday too Bertie! Popped to kiddicare as I had a sudden panic we didn't have enough blankets! Well done for managing ikea!
Had a really restless night. Kept waking up for the loo and had really bad period cramp type pains. Just went to the toilet and there was a bit of blood, and I'm getting more crampy type pains but they're only lasting for about 20seconds or so and are making me feel really queasy. I don't know if this is the start of anything? I've never done this before! Just told H to go to work, but now I'm not so sure. If I need him it'll take about an hour/90 minutes for him to get home. On the other hand this could be going on for days or it could be nothing.

Hey monnie, great news about the protein :) shame you have to wait in all day again though! Do you have to work from home or can you relax? It is weird when they move a lot when they are bigger, some of the movements took my breath away. I live near to Cambridge so lakeside is an hours drive for me.
Flossy, I think we went to lakeside the same day before lol. God I do find ikea hard work but we knew what we was going to get so wasn't too bad luckily, although I had pains and pressure so was walking like id pooed myself... Nice! I hope that is the start for you, it's hard to tell isn't it? And what's best as obviously don't want H to leave work when not necessary. But then you don't know if it is labour and how quick it will progress! Luckily my H is only 25 mins away. I would call your H if they start to get any worse just in case.

I think I may be loosing my plug? Tmi but it was thicker than discharge. Hope it was!

Ooh Bertie, may be a start of the road to progress! Hope so :) We bought a couple of last-minute baby things yesterday. Necessities, like a polka dot rubber duck and a cuddly owl. Real must-haves.... ;) On the plug, I have only had 2 instances of this and there wasn't much volume to it, but the word 'snot' pretty much sums it up (sorry!!)
Monnie - you're so PATIENT! Giving a whole day to wait in for MW. Take my hat off to you and I'm so pleased results are looking good. Are you feeling okay in yourself?
Flossy! Fings is happening?! Lovely :) But I reckon you're right to be cautious, it could be the 'start' but it could be a process that takes days. I'm sure hubby won't miss anything.
AFM, had contractions from 11.30pm. Woke hubby after an hour once it had me close to tears. 5-6 mins apart lasting 1min+. Then some were less painful... Spoke to midwife who suggested giving it a bit longer. Baby was going absolutely crazy, movement-wise. I eventually crashed out at 3.30am, the pains woke me at 4.30am. Then slept until 7. Been up seeing to some errands, and am feeling the pelvic pressure at the front, but nothing like it was last night. I'm permanently hungry and nauseous and DYING for today to be our day. Hubby hasn't gone to work as he's not slept really, bless him. :)

Counter- haha your necessities sound like mine! Polka dot rubber duck sounds really cute, I may have to get one of those! It was rather snot like, so possibly it was it. All this pregnancy lark is rather confusing! Sounds like baby is trying to make an appearance, how exciting for you. Fingers crossed it picks up again today. What happens re home birth? Do you just call the midwife when your in labour and she comes to yours? Sorry I'm a bit clueless about it!

We call when we have regular contractions under ten mins, my community midwife said, so I rang when they were 5 mins but the midwife in the midwife-led unit I chatted to said if they weren't equally intense, not to bother having the midwife round yet, but it was up to me. Glad we delayed! They'll send me one midwife as soon as I ask (no clue in practice how long that is) and once I'm reviewed she'll go away again, or she'll request the second one because we're good to go. I'm going to be so very unlikely to call again now I suspect, unless we're so very sure it's coming! Some ladies on a FB home birth group I pop in to from time to time say things like 'yeah, I had 5 nights with periods of contractions before baby came'. Cue me being horrified!! But we had it for several hours and very regular so us (and the midwife we spoke to) are hopeful that today/tomorrow is looking good. Tomorrow would be amazing. It's the 2nd anniversary of our first date tomorrow, and the first anniversary of us completing on our house (though we were in NY at the time). So the 8th is a big date for us :)
Def sounds like your plug Bertie! I get excited for anyone who had signs like that after I went 9.5 months with Harry and showed no signs of anything. I'm always glad to hear of anything natural happening ha ha.

Bertie - Fingers crossed it is the start of something for you!
Monnie - Glad things seem to have returned to normal for you, hope the midwife doesn't keep you waiting all day! I seem to have a very active bump, it is a very odd sensation that I am still not properly used to!
Flossy - Really hope this is it for you!
Counter - Sounds like it could be your time too!
Think we could have 3 BA this week!
AFM, productive weekend which makes me very happy! Went swimming yesterday which was lovely and quite relaxing. Really must get a move on with sorting out my cover for work, have had 104 applicants but have narrowed it down to 5 that I think might be suitable!

Morning all. Sorry I didn't make it on over the weekend, it felt like a busy one, then by last night when I could get on I wasn't sure there'd be anyone around.
Bertie, sounds like things might be progressing for you, fingers crossed!
Monnie, hope you have a lovely relaxing day waiting in for the midwife. Great news that BP and protein are all normal.
Flossy, ooh, sounds like things might be happening for you too? fingers crossed for you too!
Counter, I have my fingers very crossed for you that things happen today, it sounds very promising. I've run out of hands to cross the fingers on with Bertie and Flossy, but you can have the toes if you like?
Vix, glad you had a nice weekend. Good luck sorting through applicants, sounds lengthy!
AFM, not much to report. We're having photos done at work today for the intranet and catalogue, I'd be far happier with this if I didn't weigh 3 1/2 stone more than normal. :-( Otherwise all's good, lots of wriggles from Attila yesterday which was lovely. (Except the ones where I was being kicked in the groin from the inside!)
Baby out vibes to lots, hope for some BAs soon!

Been AWOL today as first day of Easter hols work at the museum, but had to come on check on our imminent arrivals! It's all looking so promising, especially you Counter. FX it happens for all of you this week!!!
Monnie, so glad to hear the protein is gone, I was getting worried for you because I made the mistake of googling it and read about kidney problems and all sorts and really, Dr. Google is the worst thing ever!
Vix, wow, good work narrowing down to 5, it must be a bit of a nightmare. Interviews now?
SG, those kicks don't sound pleasant at all. But then I suppose it just gets less and less comfortable as time passes?
Trifle, it'll be you soon!
AFM, I'm only one day in and I'm already knackered. Working with children and families during school holidays has got to be one of the most tiring things you could do. Only day I have off this week is Saturday. And joy of joys, my ankles have started to swell after only one day. Feet are now up and staying up!

I'm here! Nothing going on. These days I'm such a grumbly, impatient old cah! I've spent 3.5 days solid hanging out with hubby, waiting, so not been on as much x
Maybe Flossy or Bertie have got progress?!?
07/04/2014 at 20:56
No progress here! I went for a bit of a power walk earlier which gave me some pains and have been having some terrible head butts deep in my pelvis but nothing significant! Every night I go to bed hoping my waters will break lol. Desperate me?!
