Morning ladies. How's everyone doing today?
Sorry I've been MIA over the weekend, I was away for my friend's hen weekend. It was lots of fun actually, pretty chilled and I got to sit down lots which was excellent, but there were a couple of very late nights, so I think it'll take me a little while to catch up on sleep. I didn't go into labour over the weekend though, so that was good! Today I really need to get my hospital bag packed, and I'm also meeting a friend for coffee this morning and another this afternoon, busy busy... Babywise all is good, lots of wriggles from Attila. I'm still struggling to walk, which sucks, and feel so very very pregnant. Plus my feet have swollen up to a ridiculous level, they're cankles with puffy trotters at the end. Sexy sexy. Once the bag is packed Attila is welcome any time!!

Spikey - hey you - happy full term!!!! I've been MIA for a long time so defo no need to apologies. Glad you had a lovely weekend at your friends hen party. Yay for the sitting down lots!!!! Well done not going into labour over the weekend too lol. I think you really do need to get your hospital bag packed soon. Do you have a list you're working from? Hope you enjoy your coffee with your friend today. Booooooooo to swollen feet!!!!!
AFM - I've got a day off today yay!!!!! I sold a load of stuff on ebay over the weekend so I'm going to parcel all that up and get to the post office. I'm also going to have another shot at packing my hospital bag. I know I've got lots of time left but the mw at my antenatal class when I was 30 weeks was absolutely horrified that nobody had theirs packed yet. Its kinda shamed me into doing it a bit sooner than planned. Baby CA's bag is done though, its just mine that needs packed. Baby CA has hardly stopped all weekend. No idea what has been going on. Things seem a bit quieter today but naturally that cues a bit of panic that there might be something wrong. Gosh, they really do know how to worry us. I've got my eye on my final 4 purchases - a couple are out of stock so once everything is back in stock I'm going to get them and thats me all sorted and the baby can come. There is only 1 of those 4 things that I REALLY need and thats the crib mattress, all the other stuff is just nice to have and look at.
Anyways, sorry for the ramble.
Hope everyones Monday isn't too bad xxx

Been missing the past few days, but going to try and keep up to date this week! Hope everyone is well!
SG - Glad you got to enjoy the hen party. Hopefully you can get your bag done and then just relax a little!
CA - Hope you enjoy your day off! I only did my bag last weekend and it still doesn't have everything in it! I'm waiting for things to come back in stock too, frustrating isn't it!
AFM - Had a manic week last week with growth scan, 2 NCT classes and a midwife appointment! Was a little wiped out by the end of the week! Glad I only have 2 NCT classes this week.
Have been spending a lot of time lying down with my hips propped up on cushions in an attempt to try and get baby to turn from breech to a more favourable position! They are definitely moving a lot, whether it is in the right direction I'm not entirely sure though!
Made some cushion covers for the rocking chair in babies room and some bunting from the offcuts, so all I need now is for the cot bed to be back in stock and the nursery will be complete!

Spikey - Glad you had a good weekend. The walking doesn't sound too pleasant... hope baby makes an arrival sooner rather than later for that very reason!
CA - Gosh, thats a busy day off! I'm also off and my only plans are the sofa :) Your post prompted me to look up what needs to go in to the hospital bags. Maybe I'm just too laid back but I don't see why baby bag needs to be packed so early - it sounds like its just clothes, nappies and blankets that go in it?! What other things are you purchasing?
Vix - FX they have moved into a better position! Pretty sure my baby is lying with its head on one side and bum on the other... not sure what the medical term is for that position. Got midwife tomorrow so will be asking them to check and tell me - normally they just prod and don't tell me anything!
AFM - Cotbed went up at the weekend. Its huge! We won't be able to put it into our room. We have a moses basket, its SIL and they didn't use it, but I keep looking at it and wondering if I want to use it. The sides look like they've dented in a little bit and every now and then I panic that it might not be as 'safe' as a new one. Its fine though really - if it wasn't I wouldn't even entertain using it. I'm just being stupid and I know I am! Baby won't be able to stay in that for 6 months anyway so wondering whether to buy a crib for our bedroom now or wait.

SG glad you enjoyed the hen do, did your cakes go down well?
CA well don't for flogging loads of stuff on eBay, it'll all help! Yay for not having many things left to buy.
Vix I hope this week is easier for you, I can't handle busy weeks now either.
Pep good to see you. Yay for the cotbed. I'm sure the Moses basket is fine, they're probably only in it for 8 weeks anyway. I've got a crib, it's a borrowed one but I'm hoping thty last 6 months in it.
AFM day off today. The car seat and cotbed are being delivered today. Yay! Once they're here I just need sheets for the mattresses and I'm ready for happy feet. Oh, apart from the fact I know nothing about babies! Hopefully nct will sort that out for me. It's our first class a week on Saturday!

SG- glad you had a good time at the hen do and yay for not going into labour! I'm sure you will be all about the early nights for a while though. Hope the bag packing goes well and Attila makes her appearance soon.
CA - good luck with the bag packing! Do you have everything you need? Can't believe the mw was shocked! I'm 28 weeks and haven't even started thinking about it yet but you've made me think I should! Enjoy your day off
Vix- you clever thing making chair covers and things! Must be so lovely to see it all finished. Another busy week ahead too, fingers crossed baby moves into a more favourable position for you soon.
Pep- I'm sure the Moses basket will be fine but maybe a crib would be the ya to go? We've been given both so we have many sleeping options haha. Would a crib fit ok in the room?
Imp- ooo exciting delivery! You are so organised! We have loads left to get I think. My plan for the bank holiday is to sort through all the baby gear we've been given and make a list so I actually know what we still need. I'm sure nct will fill in loads of gaps and I guess there is always here for anything else you need to know. I still can't fathom the fact that my bump will result in a real life human. Crazy
AFM- our mortgage has been formally approved so we need to get a wiggle on with packing and sorting so we are ready to go when we exchange. Sooooo excited! I also have a day off today and I had my whooping cough jab and a prescription for heartburn tablets woohoo. Lots of kicking recently and H felt some more yesterday which was nice as he hasn't felt any for a while. I have the mw on Wednesday for the first growth measurements and I'm interested to know how big I/we are! Off out for dinner tonight for a friends birthday at one of those all you can eat meat places in Leeds. Very excited about that!
Hi to those that follow

Jonesy yay for the mortgage being approved, it's great news! Are you moving far? Enjoy your yummy tea!
12/05/2014 at 13:19
Thank you! I'm very excited now. We're moving a bit closer to town actually but still the north side. So early lived it's all likely to happen before bean arrives, I was starting to panic,
12/05/2014 at 13:28
How exciting! I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for you until exchange and completion!

Checking back in.
CA, yay for a day off I hope it was either productive or relaxing, or both. I have stuff I should really try to sell on ebay too, but I can't seem to get my butt in gear! How did you get on with your hospital bag packing?
Vix, good luck with the baby turning, I hope it's successful. You'll have to flash when the nursery gets finished, am impressed with your crafting skills making cushion covera and bunting.
Pep, I'm sure the Moses basket is fine- if you're worried just don't carry the baby round in it! You could try a travel cot in the room if you need a stop gap between Moses basket and cotbed,it'll probably get more use long term than a crib. (If you've room for one.)
Imp, yay for being ready. I hoe the nct classes are good, and you feel a bit more prepared for the baby after them, but I have to say it was a huge shock for me when I brought
J home, I hadn't a clue what I was doing, but as long as you keep them alive it's all good! The cake did go down well thanks, though there was a lot of cake around generally, I didn't think it was possible to be over caked but it turns out it might be.
Jonesy, yay for the mortgage being sorted, fingers crossed the move all goes smoothly. Hope you have a nice meal of tonight.
I've had a fairly productive day, sorted out some bits and bobs, and I've got most of the hospital bag packed now. Just bits I can't stick in till the last minute left, so if I did go into labour suddenly I should be able to finish it reasonably quickly. Phew! I've also finally pumped up my ball, so will have a bounce tonight whilst watching tv I think.
