Somehow I seem to have made it to 30 weeks already!! Where has the time gone? Feels like a good milestone to reach for some reason
New carpet down in the front room and all our stuff moved back in which now means the house is less of a pigsty. Nursery contains a lot of boxes of stuff but need furniture to be able to put stuff away. DH wants a few restful weekends so probably head to IKEA for wardrobe and chest of drawers in a few weeks time. Till then can just shut the door haha. think will start washing some of the baby clothes we have this week and also start thinking about myhospital bag

Morning JJ def try and get a few quiet weekends in if you can time seems to go so quickly and H and I have less than 2 weeks now and feel a bit deprived of free time together. Next time he has holiday now it will be paternity leave, scarey thought!
AFM after aleeping well all weekend I had a crap night last night, baby was moving non stop and had a funny tummy and couldn't get comfy. Luckily managed to get back to sleep this morning so going to have a chilled day at home today as I am car less! Need to finish off Hs 30th birthday present too so may have a look online.
Hope everyone else is ok x

Jj glad you are getting sorted DIY wise
Mrs L have you got a dare fir section/induction? It's just with you saying less than 2 weeks eek!
Afm working today and tomorrow then that's it HURRAH!!!!!!!!!!!! Hopefully not back till nov/dec 2015 really would love to eek it out till after Xmas next year but don't think it's possible. Soooooo much to do at home eugh!
Now I have a wwyd. We are in Manchester. My h has been asked to go to Sunderland 3 days before my planned section, Sunderland approx 2.5 hrs away but I suppose in rush hour it could be anything up to about 4 he's away. Anyway they want him to stay overnight as their policy is if you do a full day there you can't drive after but my h initially said no and they have now said they will provide a driver for him so he'd be picked up and brought home the sane day.
H is helpfully leaving the decision to me I think he thinks Iv got a crystal ball! Anyway this Sunderland trip would be great for him as he's progressing to group directorate level and it means that he will be involved in some good things (and more money woohoo!) however I'm just worrying as baby is a transverse lie, if I went I to labour it'd be another emergency again, they wouldn't wait for him (they prob would if she was head down), I went into labour with Isaac, he was out about 1.5 hrs after getting to labour ward, but then again this might be totally different and I'd either have a baby at home or I won't be in labour and go for my section as planned 3 days later

JJ: Congratulations, 30 weeks is a great milestone to reach. We moved into a newbuild house 2 months before my daughter was born so initially all her things went in the room but we didn't get furniture till I was around 36 weeks pregnant. No rush!
MrsL: Sorry to hear you had a crap night, enjoy your 1st full week of mat leave with a nice chilled out day.
RF: I'm not letting my hubby go anywhere that's over an hour away just in case! His work wanted him to go to Bulgaria this week & luckily he saw sense. For me I'm worried that my labour will be really quick (5 hours in active labour with Isobelle & I've heard 2nd babies can arrive in half the time) but that's just my choice. Is it something he can do on another date?
AFM: I feel absolutely shattered today. I've started waking in the night to pee (or fill up a water bottle for a toddler!) then I can't get back to sleep. Probably should've got up rather than tossing & turning for an hour or so. Now it seems that I've got my hubby's cough (could just be that I'm tired). Been drinking orange juice as I don't think there's much I can do about it.
Yesterday we went to see my H's Aunt & cousin which was lovely (till the inlaws arrived!!). Apparently H's mum has been asking him again to tell her what the baby is going to be called. She asked yesterday if it was still a secret. She spent some time alone with Isobelle (who, if you ask her the question, 'What shall we call him?' will tell you his name) so I really hope she didn't ask her. Although even if she did Isobelle can't quite pronounce it correctly & as it's a bit unusual I don't think she'd have got it. But it (they!!) just winds me up. Also I kept saying about going as Isobelle & I were shattered & then just as we were starting to say goodbyes my BIL decided to interact with Isobelle for the 1st time all afternoon by throwing her in the air & chasing her around & I felt like I was being the mean mummy by repeatedly saying we had to go.
Oh well, today is a do nothing day. I'm hoping that Isobelle will have her nap early today & sleep for awhile so I can catch up too! I'm ignoring my ticker & going with my knowledge that I have a maximum of 4 weeks to go as he's surely got to come naturally by 43 weeks!!

Morning bk. how annoying re the ils, hopefully I won't have said the name. Hope you manage a sleep.
Yes I suppose actually there will be other group level stuff h can do, he's done a bit previously as well so it might not be the end if the world, I just feel a bit bad making him cancel on an uncertainty :-/

JJ-wahoo to 30 weeks!
MrsL-enjoy a restful day.
TRF-personally i wouldn't want him more than an hour away. I'd hate for H to possibly miss birth and want him their for my support.
BK-hope you get some chill out time.
AFM- a busy but interesting morning at work and at home this afternoon working as also have my MW appt. Grateful for a slower paced day. Getting more excited by baby's arrival by the day. Glad NCT Course is starting next week as still feeling v clueless about how to actually look after a baby.
20/10/2014 at 13:01
Make that 31+2- wishful thinking on my part!
20/10/2014 at 13:53
Rio - that's good you have a slower day, it's needed sometimes.
Meant to say, h works 1.5 hours away anyway lol
20/10/2014 at 14:47
RF no induction or section booked, I'm going pure by due date haha wishful thinking maybe! Sorry can't help you with the H decision, so difficult! I think I'd not want mine to go but I hate him being away from me anyway if that's any help x
BK hope you've had a nice chilled day, I'm fed up of people asking about names too, we've not agreed on anything but fed up of people's opinions on anything we have in mind! X
Rio how did midwife go? X

RF: Hopefully he'll come to this conclusion by himself. I'd have felt a bit guilty if the decision had just been mine but luckily he seems to get that he needs to be within good reach of home.
Rio: Hope your mw appointment went well. I did NHS classes rather than NCT but it was only really about labour & birth & not much about how to actually look after my baby, thankfully I had hitched for that!! Hope you meet some nice couples
MrsL: Just be careful only going on your due date. You might be 1 of the lucky ones but at the same time if your baby doesn't arrive by then you don't want to be 'waiting'! We have a name but just don't to tell anyone in case we change our minds (very unlikely as it took us forever to find 1 that we both liked!!), I don't have a great bond with my inlaws so it doesn't take much from them to wind me up!!!
Annoyingly I fell asleep before Isobelle (she stays in her room but calls out) & slept for 30 mins before she woke me up, once she got off to sleep I couldn't get back to sleep. Typical!!!

MW said i have quite high levels of glucose in my urine. Apparently it is now too late for the glucose intolerance test but they are likely to ask me to go to antenatal clinic tom or Wed to discuss next steps and monitoring. I did raise blurred vision, high baby growth, and my tiredness as possible reasons to be tested at the last appt. hopefully glucose levels today were a blip but considering the other symptoms Im not too sure.

Bk haha don't worry I'm not expecting to be on time at all, I know it could potentially be another few weeks yet!
Rio sorry to hear about the mw good luck tomorrow let us know how u get on xxx
