Morning ladies! how is everyone?
I'm v tired :( H up early and gone to Belgium so I'm now up with the boy, he says he doesn't want to go to preschool (Holiday club) today so I think it might be a quiet day at home. Tomorrow he has no choice but to go, I've a house to tidy! 3 sleeps til my scan, hurrah.
MrsV, good luck today x

Morning Isis. Sooooooooooooo close to your scan now, so exciting!
Not much going on here pregnancy wise. I have had a really dodgy tummy the last few days (TMI sorry!). It's every morning without fail and is accompanied by really bad stomach cramps. I also get cramps after i eat anything. I've never had any food intolerance's or anything like that, not feeling ill so i dont think it's a bug. No idea if it's pregnancy caused or just something random. I've not eaten anything new or different and nothing on the 'to avoid' list. I really hope it's not effecting the baby at all but no idea what to do about it!!

3 more sleeps isn't long at all Isis, bet you are soooo excited. Enjoy your quiet day in.
Morning AR, tummy problems sound horrid, i had a couple of days at about the same time as you but i think i caused mine by increasing my fruit and veg intake, hope it clears for you soon.
7+6 here and soooooo tired, as someone who doesn't sleep well and only sleeps in the dark in bed, i am now falling asleep on the sofa in the evening, and even dozed off sitting in the communal coffee area at the yard yesterday afternoon!!
Happy Monday all hope it doesn't drag too badly.

Scan day eek! good luck to OB for hers today as well.
Hopefully be back on this afternoon with an update x
Isis, 3 sleeps isnt long - 4 for me and on one hand it can't come quick enough and the other hand I'm dreading it!
AR, a stomach upset sounds horrible, I think changes in erm bowels is normal pregnancy wise? Hope it stops for you though!
PP I'm with you on the sleeping, I had to have a nap on Friday and Saturday afternoons! H isn't around today and I didn't sleep well last night so not sure how ill stay awake today!
AFM, quietish weekend, still at mums and H came down once he'd finished work on Friday so that was nice. We went to the cinema on Saturday night as it was my birthday, thank goodness I'd had my nap in the afternoon apart from that we didn't do much, visits with M to a few parks, went swimming yesterday morning and that's about it.
Pregnancy wise the nausea comes and goes, tiredness comes and goes and I don't have much appetite but not much to report apart from that. The bloating has gone down, anyone else find that?
Good luck to mrsV for today x

Oh and good luck to OB today too xx

Happy Monday ladies!!!
Isis - enjoy an unexpected home day today :) scan is so close now!
AR - your tummy sounds rubbish, perhaps it's to do with your body reacting differently to things it would normally just ignore. Hope it clears up soon (as I'm sure you do!)
PP- that's funny, dozing off everywhere. It's alien isn't it, if you're just not one of those people?
Mrs V - good luck!!!!!
WE - sounds like a lovely weekend. Happy birthday for Saturday!
AFM - not getting lots of preg symptoms at the mo (Sat and Sun), but I am much calmer than I was. No pink/red for 3 days now, even after sex, so I am very happy about that. Lovely weekend, mooching around, we went to a restaurant Saturday night we'd never been to before. The portion sizes were epic. I ate (or tried to eat) a steak and mushroom pudding that was as big as my head! It was lovely, was unwrapped from the cloth at the table and better than any I've had. I'm only eating that stuff because I'm pregnant, I'd probably have had the caesar salad otherwise ha ha ha.
So, 5+6 now and a scan next week. I've decided to buy my first baby purchase this week. I know it goes totally against the grain and you'll all think I'm a weirdo but I'm not superstitious and I don't want to be playing the waiting game, if anything happens it won't be because I bought a babygro. And with my sister expecting 2 I can pass anything on to her. I'm much more comfortable not waiting. Have no clue if that makes sense to anyone but me! :D

Hi Everyone, thought I would officialy join in first tri today :)
Isis- not long until scan! Enjoy your quiet day at home.
AR- My tummy has been a bit funny too, tmi but i need to go alot more atm.
Pinkpanther- That made me laugh. Funny what pregnancy does to us.
Mrs V- Good luck for your scan!
Weekender- Hope you had a lovely birthday.
Counter- Your meal out sounds good. I think thats a good way to think, I am a bit like that. nice and positive :)
AFM- Been feeling sick on and off, normally around mid morning and towards dinner time. Bit tired but not overly at the moment. Had a nice chilled weekend watching H play football and then out to lunch Sunday for his nans bday. I am struglling to eat at times though.

Hi ladies just popping in to say hello and goodbye! I'm off to the second tri thread (eek!) but will pop back in to see how you're all getting on and definitely for an update on today's scans! See you all on 2nd tri soon! xxx

Hello again everyone
Back from scan and all good so far. Measuring a day ahead at 11+4 and NT measurement ok. Just got to wait for the blood results to come back now.
Had the consultant appointment as well and he has booked in a early scan at 16 weeks so hopefully will know whether heart is ok at that stage. Hoping I can hide the pregnancy from most people until then but not sure!!
12/08/2013 at 11:13
hey that's grand Mrs V. And yes, 16 weeks is a lot of bump to disguise :D
12/08/2013 at 12:01
MrsV, that's great!
My quiet day hasn't materialised! Been to the docs with a wheezy Jude this morning (he's fine but is asthmatic) and then decided to go to asda to get party supplies for Saturday. At least it's something I don't need to do later in the week now but I'm pooped!
12/08/2013 at 12:05
Oh Isis, never works out does it? I was meant to have a solid day to myself doing almost bugger all Saturday, but my son's friend let him down so we ended up on a 10k walk with the dog, browsing secondhand shops and having lunch out. Can't complain but wasnt' what I expected!
I hope your lad is better soon.
12/08/2013 at 12:13
Well he's going to preschool tomorrow whether he likes it or not and I'm having an afternoon nap lol
12/08/2013 at 12:15
Like your style!
I'm not pg but just seen your update mrs v [stalker]
Glad scan went well, you should be fine to wait till after next scan, loose tops etc and let it all hang out at home. I got quite far with Isaac before telling as I just wanted all scans first. Sending lots of positive vibes for your cardiac scan, not long to go
Anyway I'm now rushing out of first tri
12/08/2013 at 13:05
Ha ha, I have a stalker!! Thanks CP. I think I will probably tell a couple of people in the next few weeks but wait until 16 weeks for the majority.
12/08/2013 at 13:22
Isis enjoy your day with the little man - definitely send him tomorrow though! 3 sleeps woo hoo. Just seen you've been to the docs hope Jude is feeling better.
AR I had a similar thing stomach wise but it was every evening - pretty much about 9:00pm just as hubby was skyping I told him I had to go because I felt sick and skyped him back. I think it must be everything getting disrupted down there.
PP hello date buddy! I/m with you on the tiredness but reckon yours might be worse - hope you're getting pampered and able to get soem sleep when you can.
Mrs V fantastic news on the scan!!!!!! - another hurdle down fingers crossed for 16 weeks and keeping things under wraps until then.
Weekender glad you got some time with hubby at your Mums and squeezed in some naps - I had a couple of hours on the sofa yesterday afternoon to find my Mum had cleaned my kitchen, put a load of washing on and started sunday dinner! It's killing me being at work with no nap facilities!
Counter your meal sounds epic! I'm really struggling with large portions that normally I'd be wolfing down it's very strange - little and often is deifntiely the way forward. Oooh what did you get? I'm not starting yet - not really for superstition but more if I start now goodness knows how much I'll end up with by 40 weeks.
See you later Rose!
AFM still really pleased after the scan but it's also a bit scarily real and had a couple of 'oh my goodness what have we done to our lovely life' moments but I know it will be the best thing ever once the baby arrives. I'm still not doing too badly symptom wise just really tired and feel pretty rank on a morning but can keep it at bay by eating pretty much constantly. 8 weeks tomorrow by my calculations so just trying to chill and get through the next 4 weeks!
12/08/2013 at 13:59
Grif- Thanks for the welcome :) I know what you mean by needing to eat constantly.
Quick question, when did you all have your initial doctors appointment to say you are pregnant? I cant get one until I am about 8 weeks(3 weeks away) as our surgery is so busy.
12/08/2013 at 14:03
Bertie, I went within an hour of my BFP, because a bout of food poisoning left me acting like a hysterical pregnant lady.
The doc said I didn't need to see him at all, just fill in a form at reception and the midwife will be in touch.
