Hi everyone,We’ve noticed in our birth clubs that some of you are really suffering with nausea and sickness. We thought we’d start this thread so you can share your tips and hints on how to stave off the sickness. Come and tell us which foods help (if you can keep them down) and which foods to avoid. And does the ginger tea and dry biscuits actually work at all? Please do come and share your tips, on this thread below, we would love to hear them.

I was fairly lucky, but found if I didn't eat as soon as i got up or left a long gap between eating I felt queasy! So have even a plain biscuit or piece of toast first thing, then have small snacks throughout the day. Don't let your stomach get fully empty.
if I didn't drink enough water I got a sore head which made me feel nauseous, so making sure I sipped on water helped a lot.

So far for me I've been lucky, not sick but nausea and / or acid reflux all day which can be a bit tiring!
Eating nuts and fruit has helped and drinking lots of water. In desperate needs chewing gum takes the edge off but only if there is nothing healthy to eat because I've read mixed reviews of whether you should or shouldn't, my midwife said its fine though. X

I kept a couple of crackers or something next to my bed so I could eat something before I even got out of bed and this helped. little but often throughout the day also helped, but eventually it got so bad and had to get anti sickness tabs from the doctor, but it didn't stop it fully.
