Please somebody give me a positive answer I am currently 7 weeks pregnant and from week 4 I have had the worst sickness ever not just feeling it but threw up a few times as well, I got admitted to hospital and was put on a drip for 2 days which helped a little but the next day back at home it started again I have tried ginger snaps, ginger beer and ale, still cola, dried biscuits, oat cakes, sea bands and preggie pop drops nothing has worked I have got some cyclizine too from the hospital but doesn't seem to help either can anybody tell me what has helped them. I am desperate got a 3 year old boy as well and feel like a really useless mother to him at the moment

Sorry you feel so ill.I am also 7 weeks and feel really ill. Not been sick yet, but really struggling to eat anything. I read an article on here before that really helped. Sorry not sure where the link is but in the first trimester section, she said resting is best. But also went through similar feelings struggled to be a mum to her other kids etc. I hope you feel better, could be twins?? For now, hve a hug xx

Ahh I feel your pain! I'm 6 weeks and although havent actually thrown up I have felt horrific! This is my second baby and I was exactly the same with my first. Things I found helped last time and are kinda helping now - go to bed early! Seriously rest is best! I've been in bed most nights before 9pm the past week! Eating little and often. Also ready salted crisps! Don't know why but they seem to help me when I'm feeling a little queasy. Maybe it's the salt? Hope you feel better soon. It's so hard during the early stage when no one knows so you can't tell them how awful you're feeling!! Sorry wish I could give you a mirical cure! But I'm deffo feeling your pain! xx

Severe morning sickness is called Hyperemesis Gravidarum (HG) and it is truly awful. I suffered it on both pregnancies and was in and out of hospital throughout. I was frequently released from hospital weak as a kitten only to be back on a drip 2 days later.
I was also on cyclizine but it made no difference. Eventually they put me on ondansetron and that improved the sickness a lot. However I know that it is expensive so the NHS are not keen to give it out. I had to really push to be kept on it.
I now do some volunteer work for Pregnancy Sickness Support who are a UK HG charity and also contribute to their funds through my business. I have included a link to their website. Here you will find lots of information and advice about HG. I hope that you will find it useful and hope that the sickness eases soon.

I feel your pain also, was exactly the same and was also put on a drip. I'm now 19 weeks and still have morning sickness!! which isn't great but better than the 24/7 sickness of weeks 6-10. The only thing that helped me was taking cyclizine 3 times a day. I found that rather than waiting until I felt sick if I took it every 4/5 hrs whilst eating little and often it helped. I won't lie still felt pretty rubbish but got me through the day and I just took to my bed from about 7pm onwards.....obviously that won't be easy if u have a little one to look after xx
