So I have finally been struck with morning/all day sickness today.. It's actually a big relief after yesterday.. For those who aren't on the first tri board I had horrendous bleeding early hours of Friday morning, I was 99% sure that I had lost the baby.. Phoned local EPU clinics and they couldn't fit me in until Monday we finally went private and was seen Friday evening, baby is perfect and had a scan picture of our little jelly bean! Been back dated 2 weeks so now 7+2..
When did you suffer from morning/all day sickness

Are you being sick CC? I had evening nausea from one week before my BFP, but according to the textbooks that's not possible. It got worse and is the single hardest part of pregnancy for me. 24/7 perma-nausea. If I don't eat I feel sick, and I'm dizzy, shaking and simply can't function at work. If I do eat I feel more sick and have to eat almost constantly to prevent it from getting to a level where I just can't function and am taking myself off for fresh air away from everything. We had a 2 hour meeting at work and not eating was so hard I was nearly in tears in front of people!
I've put on 10lbs in 10 weeks due to feeling crap so not exercising, then eating crisps, fresh bread, pastry items and biscuits to reduce the nausea. It's only in the last week that although it's still there morning, noon and night it's much less and I've been able to back off and have had some gorgeous healthy dinners and been able to widen the gap between food. And walk more, be more active in the house etc.
With my son I was off work the entire pregnancy predominantly because of the nausea. I couldn't eat on shift, so couldn't do anything about the sickness and dizziness, I had to do quite physical work and I was incapable. The nausea lasted until he was born at 40+17. It really got me down, as did the 4+stone I put on!

I am feeling sick not actually been sick yet (luckily)

I was at SW but busy work (couldn't get to group, even just for weigh-in) and the nausea meant it was pointless. Going to start back this week and really looking forward to it.

Good luck with it.. I find it's the only way I can loose weight and maintain it :)

CP - glad you posted! My midwife looked at me like I was a freak when I said I had it all day, every day last time. Everyone but everyone has enjoyed telling me that it stops at 12-14 weeks and I'm thinking 'hmm, wouldn't be too sure about that!'

With p I found the worst weeks were 8-11 but didn't feel remotely normal until about 16 weeks. This time I'm past 11 weeks and seem to be feeling worse daily.
It helps to eat little and often. If I get tired or hungry I feel much worse, I can cope mostly with it during the day but by the evenings I feel awful. Something which helps a lot is to eat before you get up in the morning. My H brings me toast when he gets up and if I don't have this I feel so much worse. Some people also swear by those sea sickness bands you can get in chemists, worth a try.

I didn't have so much as a wave of sickness with my first pregnancy. This time I started feeling sick around 6 weeks, which stopped at about 16 weeks. If I didn't eat immediatley when I got up it was dreadful, I had to eat to keep it at bay. If I drank anything before I had eaten it would come straight back up. I read not to eat and drink at the same time to help morning sickness, so I tried to eat as soon as I could when I woke up and then drink about half an hour after. I also tried having a snack late at night so that my stomach wasn't totally empty in the morning, which seemed to help a bit. I thought it had all stopped, but I was sick this morning (18 weeks now) for the fist time for about two weeks, so hopefully it was just a one off!

Glad your bean is perfect. i had all day nausea from 6 to 16 weeks. horrible horrible. hope yours isn't too bad.
From 6-20 something weeks! I was admitted exactly this time last year so 7 weeks for 3 days of fluid it was that bad! I had drugs this time. Sip fluids often and eat bland food little and often as I found I was worst when I had an empty stomach

I started feeling sick at 7 weeks, and started being sick at 8 weeks. I was sick at least once a day until around 12 weeks where it got to the point I could barely keep any food down every day. Only in the last week or so I seem to have turned a corner with being sick, but I still feel constantly sick. I'm 18+4 now. The constant nausea feels easy compared to the last few weeks, because now I can actually keep food down I have some energy to face the day. At one point I was barely moving out of bed (unless at work) because I felt so weak.

So pretty much sounds like I am in it for a long time hehe!
Sorry you have all been suffering!
OB - I am glad you have turned the corner with being sick!
I hate being sick so I am hoping to just get the nausea and not actually being sick!
