Can you recall how long your lo's were in their baskets for?
I need baby boy to last in his for at least 12 weeks as he is due in June and we aren't expecting to move until September. Until then C is still in the cot bed...so short of using a travel cot for new baby I'm not see where it leaves us if he outgrows the basket??

Joshua lasted to about 13 weeks in his, and he was 98th centile for height and weight, so I would think you will be okay until September.

We've decided to get a crib for this reason. There is one on Kiddicare for pretty much the same price as a moses with stand. We figured as its larger it'll last for the 6 months baby needs to be in with us.

E was in hers until over 4 months old I think. She's 25th centile for weight but 50th for length so pretty average.

We chose a crib for this reason too. Mothercare has one for £40 and G was in hers for 7 months

G was in hers until 5 months, it was the little circus one from mothercare which I think us a little bigger than some others. She's on the 50th centile for height and weight so exactly average. As others have said if you really need them not to be in a cot until 6 months I'd get a crib instead x

F was in his for just over 5 months.
B has the same basket as excitedbee and its bigger than the one J had. She is 98th centile and still in it at 9 wks but i think she had only got another couple of weeks left in it at the most

My son only lasted about 10 days or so in it but it was because he slept with his arms spread out and kept waking himself up by hitting the sides. Sizewise he would still fit in it for months so sure you'll be fine- it seems such a short amount of time isn't the norm!

E was 12 weeks and 95th %ile for height and weight so hopefully it'll see you through!

As Chimps said, M lasted 9 days as she freaked when her arms hit the side, but only because she was stretching them out, size wise she would have lasted a lot longer.

8 weeks exactly, we were lucky that a friend had given us a small crib as well which fit perfectly in our room and E was in that until 7 months x

B was in his just a few weeks as he didn't sleep well in it

A was 25th percentile at birth (although gone up to 50th now, greedy chops) and only lasted about 8/9 weeks... but this was because he kept hitting the sides with his hands and also I think it was a relatively small one.

I was 25th percentile & lasted until 6 months in her moses basket. Seems she's in the minority on here though!

J was in his until about 11 weeks I think, he is on the 98th centile for height and weight but likes to stretch out when he sleeps and couldn't bare his arms hitting the sides.

I lasted 10 weeks before she wasn't happy to be in it anymore, she used to sleep with her arms out too.
