Morning ladiesNot sure how many of you are around, if any at the moment but thought i'd start off a thread just incase!I have just come back from my holiday to Tunisia, had a nice and relaxing time, just what we both needed.TTC wise, i am on CD19 - still got a while till im fertile, mid next week according to my calendar - but as always, we are going to start the DTDing every other day just incase anything happens early. We were planning to go to Australia in March(2014), to take our baby to see the family and to watch the Grand Prix, but after the MC we decided to put that on hold as we wanted a baby more. But its getting closer and closer to March 2014, and with nothing happening to is baby wise at the moment, we have decided we will give ourselves until mid October and if we still havent had our BFP, we are going to go. If i get a BFP before then, we said we won't go, but if not and we do book to go and i get pregnant between booking and going to Australia, the furthest id be along is 20 weeks (bearing in mind i have longer cycles hence the reason why it would only be 20 weeks), which would be ok to travel, but we would take out travel insurance straight away so if i was told i couldnt fly for whatever reason, hopefully we'd be covered for that.We decided that we needed something else to look forward to, as this whole TTC malarky is really getting us down for obvious reasons, and financially, its only cost a few more hundred pound to what we would have spent on a nice holiday somewhere, which was what we were going to do in Sept/Oct, so makes sense to go and see family and watch the Grand Prix which OH is desperate to see!Obviously, we would love to be able to say by October that we can't go cause we have had our BFP, but sadly life isnt like that is it? We cant predict what will happen - we may get our BFP this cycle, or we may be waiting years - life is just too short to put your life on hold like that isnt it?

Hey Suzie, I'm on my phone so can't reply as easily so apologies if there is any spelling errors!
Glad to hear you enjoyed your holiday and going to Australia sounds amazing - how long are you planning on going for? X

Well if we do go it will just be for 2 1/2 week. We would usually go for longer but like i said, we originally decided not to go, so didnt really plan our holidays very well with work and have already used loads. But it will be fine.
I plan to go again whilst i am eventually on maternity leave so i will get to be there longer then anyway.
I am obviously hoping that we can't go for obvious reasons though, but if we don't have a baby to look forward to then atleast we have a nice holiday :)
Hope you are ok PS x

Definitely would take a baby over a holiday any day :) All the best and hope you get a bfp long before March :)
I'm feeling okay-ish and not really sure where I should be posting, pretty much everyone I started with in TTC has moved on now and I am feeling a bit left behind. Trying not to get too down about it but I've just started another cycle (cd8) and have no idea how long this one will be. Ive definitely lost my ttc mojo now!

Well you are more than welcome to join me/us here.
Almost everyone i know from TTC have long had their babies or are on DTTC now, and at the moment im happy staying here until i start investigations into whats happening.
Remind me, what is your cycle history?

I had irregular cycles before the pill and went on it to try and regulate them. Since coming off end of October last year ive had 3 cycles, first was 40 days, second 84 days and third 50 days. Now 8 days into my 4th cycle x

Long cycles are pants. Mine were crazy after my MC, but fingers crossed they seem to have settled down to 42 days now, i have had 3 like that now so fingers crossed they stay like that, shorter would be better tho obviously, but as they were a similar length pre MC, its obviously my normal cycle length x

Hi purple star & Susie, nice to 'see' you both. Sorry you're down PS, I hope your cycles start to get shorter. Glad you had a great holiday Susie. I agree, don't put you life on hold. We've been trying for over a year now & we'd have missed out on a holiday in Japan, snowboarding in Colorado, various trips to Europe etc. if we had not booked stuff 'just in case'. When I told a friend about loosing my head of dept post due to reorganisation & having to drop to a normal teacher, unless I got one of the 'new' posts, she said that didn't really matter did it, cos I'd be starting a family soon! I tried to be polite but I was so annoyed. My job is really important to me, I love what I do&im proud of what I have achieved. But also, nothing's happened in the last year and there is no guarantee it ever will, so why should I put things on hold?
Anyway, my good news is I got one of the new jobs! The deputy head who interviewed me said I had a cracking interview so I am very happy!

You are totally right RC - thats exactly how we are thinking abut it all now. And whats the worst that can happen, you have to loose money on not going on a holiday? i would much rather loose a couple of grand and have a baby than not if that makes sense.
Thats fab news about your job, congrats!!
