Im currently 27+2 and have noticed the jabs and kicks are getting a lot sharper from baby W as though there isnt much room left in there now. This has prompted a few questions - 1. Is there ever a situation when you simply don't have any more room for the baby to grow and what happens? and 2. I have a pretty neat but hefty bump at the moment - will it go any bigger in the next 13 weeks? 3. I have been fortunate enough to not get any stretch marks so far - Am I likely to get them now?

Hey, didn't want to read and run!
I don't think there is ever a situation where baby wont have enough room to grow (your bump would just get bigger :P ) and i would say yes your bump will get much bigger... pretty sure the baby puts most of his/her weight on in the last month or so... i'm currently 35weeks, had a scan last week and his estimated weight was 4lb11oz which is average for now but i reckon i will have another big baby - first was almost 10lbs and he put 3lbs on in the 3 weeks from his last growth scan at 37 weeks to birth at 41+3 lol
As for the stretch marks im not sure, i would say it looks good that you havent already got some! some ladies are more prone than others... I will keep my fingers crossed that you're in the clear x

Thanks for your reply
I read that baby gains more weight now and seems to have growth spurts weight wise at around weeks 29, 33 and 37 (based on averages of course) so I'm in to grow a bit more I guess. I am not due for any scans now - Had them at 8+4, 12+2 and 20+4 so I suppose my LO's weight will just be by guestimate of our MW.
I'm hoping that my lack of stretch marks now means I wont get any before this pregnancy is through. Fingers crossed anyway!

Hate to be the stretch mark bearer of bad news, but had none in my first pregnancy and none in my second until after 35 weeks then they appeared, my little boy was big (for me my first was 6lbs 5 he was 8lbs 2)

I'm sorry but I had the same experience as piper - nothing and then it looked like a firework went off in my tummy at about 37 weeks. But once baby arrives you won't care about stretch marks.
You will find its normal to have more aches and pains and tiredness in the last trimester. This is why ladies become so desperate to give birth - nature's incentive perhaps?
