So I feel that I've got everything from last time what do I actually need for baby no 2? Can I use the same mattresses for moses basket, crib & cot that I did for no 1? I'm buying a sling so (hopefully) I can breast feed no 2 & still have 2 hands free to play with no 1. & I need a new changing mat as the current 1 is falling apart. Obviously I'll need clothes & nappies & wipes but is there anything else that I actually need??

I'm due any day and I've hardly bought anything! Baby 1 is still in the cot and for baby 2 I've new mattresses for crib, Moses and pram. I've bought a double buggy and a few new pieces of clothing.
As baby 1 is still in the nursery I've bought another change unit for the spare bedroom to do me until we give baby 1 a bed and new baby will go into the nursery, no point buying a full new nursery when we'll be going to a toddler bed in a few months.
Clothing has literally been a few packs of sleepsuits as I've just got rid of the 0-12m stuff from baby 1 and so much was either worn once or never!

Having already got most of the 'big items' I've gone and bought some extras this time around such as a starsuit, Morrck hoodie, etc.
I have however had to buy a new changing mat, as F's was torn to shreds, and I've bought a new mattress for the Moses basket as his had gone all sunken. When baby is ready to move into their own room, they'll have F's cotbed. We're going to use the chest of drawers already in the room as a changing unit and have just bought a new wardrobe. I have also had to buy a lot of new clothes - F's gender neutral still all looked a bit yellow milk stained on closer inspection.

I bought new mattresses as O was quite a sicky baby, plus I needed a double buggy. I bought a new changing mat and clothes, as well as the more frivolous bits like a Morrck and Connecta. I've got hardly anything to but this time round and I feel a bit bad about it - I feel I should be buying stuff, not just little bits!

We bought a buggyboard (currently being trialled on it's first trip with N and T!). Bought a few new toys as I wanted T to have a few bits of his own, and a few new clothes as N was born at a different time of year. We are reusing the car seat and crib mattress but we have got a new seat base and isofix for the other side of the car. We have a Moses basket this time (didn't have one with N), so that I can put T down somewhere safe. Can think what else, not much!

We've moved Isobelle into a big girl room as it was easier to keep the nursery as it was with all the furniture. It's easier as we live in a town house so it's helpful to have the nursery on the same floor as us as Isobelle is now 1 floor down.Isobelle's car seat has it's isofix integrated so we can reuse her old car seat & base. We don't use a bugy, only really the connecta so don't need to worry about that (although that might change once he's here & she refuses to walk!!). I have bought him a new star suit but that's about it. Feel a bit bad for this poor second baby. Also, I've just realised that he will be born & have Christmas within a few months so I imagine he'll get a few clothes, toys & books of his own
So it seems I'm not really missing anything!!

Yeah I was surprised by how little there was to get this time round. We bought a double buggy, and needed a new car seat as A still uses his one from birth. Got a new soft sling but only because I sold the Moby on and we've bought a Close Caboo instead. Got some tiny nappies as A used sposies from birth and then went into the birth-to-potty nappies, but we'd like to try cloth from the beginning this time. Got given a crib as we'd given back the Moses basket. Bought clothes and grobags, I thought we had loads but I guess I must have sold them on or whatever.

You should get new mattresses for everything as recommended by SIDS. For baby 2 we bought clothes, double buggy, a new morrck, nice cot mobile as the one we had before was boring and I think that was it. Baby 3 got a new bouncy chair

We got a connecta (and an ergo that I've never used, oops!) New mattress for the crib, clothes, blue blankets since no1 was a girl, my sis bought him a Morrck...a new changing mat. Big expense was (and continues to be!) cloth nappies. We used disposables first time round, I've now developed a nappy addiction..
Oh - and an electric breast pump...used a manual first time. And I treated myself to a new changing bag
