How are we all doing??
Don't want to speak too soon but P is an absolute joy at the moment! Reflux under control. Weaning going well and she eats anything! Always smiling and chatting and the incinsolable crying seems to be a thing of the past (please, God!). She's been sleeping through for about 2 months too so all good. She still doesn't sleep an awful lot if we are hime in the day but doesn't seem bothered. She always sleep longer if we are out in the buggy.
Good job we've turned a corner with P as everything else has been a bit rubbish. My mum died in August and my H was made redundant last month. I was diagnosed with PND in the summer but I've now been discharged from monthly home visits by the HV. I feel surprisingly fine and although i still have my down days where i miss mum so much i physically ache, I am really looking forward to Christmas as a 4.
What are you getting your LOs for Christmas? I am a bit stuck for ideas!!!
How are you and all your bubbas doing?? Hope you are all well xxx

Hey MM, I am so pleased to see a positive update from you. Sorry you have had loads of other stuff to deal with but glad things are going well with P.
S is an absolute joy and fits into our family perfectly. Unfortunately she is not a fan of sleep and generally still wakes every 90 mins - 2 hours or so... She has slept for 6 hours once, 5 hours and 4 hours a few times and maybe 10 times for 3 hours. I am beyond tired, just kinda used to being a zombie. I have lost my wit and haven't had a decent intelligent conversation since she got here!! She is still breast fed, enjoys playing with food and is starting to eat a bit more, she loves curry!
She has 5 teeth with another two on the way, is crawling, sits really well and says Mama!
She has so many toys from I but we are getting her a thing with cogs and balls that you feed into it, some musical instruments, bath toys and books, a toothbrush and flannel. from others she is getting a doll, Jojo letters for her bedroom door, The Odd egg book, Boynton board books, Tomy Octopals bath toy, that is all I can think of off the top of my head.
When I was her age her fave toy was the Tomy eggs, S can share hers.
Looking forward to hearing from all the other mummies.

Good to hear about how you are all getting on.
MM - I am so sorry to hear what a rough time you have been having. I hope that 2014 starts better for you. Am pleased that after a troubled start P is doing very well and is much happier and contented and that you have been discharged by the HV. I can't imagine how hard it must be for you losing your mum so soon after P being born and I expect that it will take a long time to get easier so don't be too hard on yourself for having bad days.
VE - sounds like (apart from the sleep, or lack thereof!) S is doing really well. I suppose that you kind of get used to being in a zombie like state! Before being a mum, I had no idea about lthe real meaning of ack of sleep, but somehow you get through it!
As for us, E will be 6 months on Saturday and is an absolute joy. He has had a lot of teething pain recently and I can see the teeth wanting to come through but they just haven't quite made it yet. E is sitting up for a substantial period of time although I still have to be on hand ready for him to topple over! He is a complete charmer and very smiley, particularly when it comes to pretty ladies!! His personality is coming through quite clearly and like his mother, he is very determined...or stubborn as my H calls it!
We started weaning last week (mainly finger foods with some spoon feeding) and as from the last two days, he has taken to it really well. At first I though that it was not going to happen but then suddenly on Monday, he started to grab and put everything on his tray into his mouth and now can't get enough of it! I am still exclusively breastfeeding which I am so proud of as if someone told me that I would get this far when I first started I would have never believed them! Luckily E does take a bottle so I have been able to express on occasions and leave him with my H or family to go out, even if it is just to the gym! He is a little snacker and feeds every couple of hours, but fortunately only for about 5-10 mins at a time.
As for sleep, E goes down at 7pm and will sleep until 2-3am for a quick feed before going back down until 7am the next day. I would love for him to sleep through the night which he has done a couple of times but not regularly. Hopefully it will come! He is now napping better in the day and I make sure that he naps in his cot as much as possible although we are out most days so at the very least his afternoon nap is often in the buggy.
E had all of his presents for Chunnukah and got a jumparoo which he loves and some more noisy toys from vetch which seem to amuse him for long periods of time! He was also spoilt with lots of clothes and a snow suit.
Am currently on the PC but will add some pics from my phone. Would love to see pics of the other babies and how they have grown

MM - glad to hear a positive update from you, especially after all the reflux and your mum's death. Is there anything else on the horizon for your H?
VE - blimey, crawling, 5 teeth and saying mama? Sounds as if she is coming on leaps and bounds! Sorry she's still sleep denying though, gah, how frustrating for you.
mr fox is just a delight. He's sooooo smiley and just such a placid little thing. Saying that, he's got a hell of a voice on him, and will let you know if you're not feeding him quick enough, or if he wants you to come back in the room and PICK HIM UP. He cut his first tooth last week, and so for a few afternoons in the last couple of weeks he has been Limpet Boy, but generally, he's pretty good. He usually wakes once a night which is fine and will be going into his own room in the next few nights. I say his own room, he'll be sharing with C. I'm not sure who I feel more sorry for. He is sitting pretty well, hates being on his front though so crawling is some way off. He's not rolling yet either, but C never rolled until she was 9mo so I'm not too worried. He's babbling a bit (yehyehyeh) and is LOVING his food. Boy, can my boy eat. He is SUCH a chunk. I haven't come across anything he doesn't like - weaning had a bit of a slow start as he was a bit slow to hold things and bring them up to his mouth, but he's happy to do that now and so will grab at pretty much anything. He is in total love with his sister, even when she crawls all over him and squashes him, no-one gets smiles or laughs like she does. And she dotes on him too, he's the first person she will go to, over anyone else.
AFM, I'm back at work on the 6th jan . I can't believe my mat leave is all over. O starts at nursery 4 days a week the same day, and I think he'll be ok. Not sure how I'll be, I'm kind of looking forward to being an adult again and using my brain, but I'm still not 100% sure I'm ready to go back. Needs must though. On reflection, the PND that I thought I had wasn't PND, it was just not coping with 2 under 2 very well. It got a bit easier after O turned 6mo, I think that was in part O becoming less newborn and C becoming more toddlerish and much better at communicating. My patience is still worn VERY thin some days, and my H's lack of proactiveness in looking after them sometimes frustrates me, but we get along.
Anyway, here's a pic of my boy (and me, sorry!)

Mm.. So good to hear that p has come out of the other side and despite bad times you are looking forward to Christmas...
Ve... However do we keep going with no sleep is beyond me.. I don't envy you at all.. Lets hope you turn a corner soon.
Ferbs... Awe your little man sounds similar to mine... Glad to hear your doing so well..
Bw..he is a cutie.. Boo to back to work.. I have been in meetings with my work for last couple of weeks and my start date is 3rd march which I know will
Come so quickly..
As for us.. H is just over six months now.. Sitting up well... But not rolling over or any teeth as yet.. He has been having some purée food and some finger food now.. He seems to be happy to try anything... His sleep is good... Well apart from daytime naps.. Three half hour power naps is all but he isn't grumpy because of it and goes down around 7 until at least five.. I can normally snuggle him up with me after that for another hour or so.. Naughty but nice... Me and my husband are separating and it's been a very difficult time but we are remaining civil for little mans sake.. Christmas this year certainly won't be what I thought it would... Will try and post a pic of my Christmas elf x

Ferbs, sounds as if you are doing brilliantly! And well done on the BF, that's an amazing achievement.
HJL, your LO is so cute! Sounds as if you're doing really well too, but I'm really sorry to hear you're separating from your H. Having a small baby is hard enough as it is without having to throw a marriage break up into the mix. Hope you are coping with that ok x

MM - I am SO pleased that things are getting better for you and little P. I'm so sorry about your mum and your H. Life can be so rubbish sometimes :-( hugs to you.
VE - Sorry to hear your LO doesn't like sleep. S sounds like she's doing really well! 5 teeth!! We're still waiting on W's first
Ferbs - E sounds like he's doing Fab! have you tried the amber anklets for his teething? W has one and wears it a lot. I definately think it is doing it's job as he isn't nearly as grumbley with it as he was without.
BW - O sounds like a right wee cheeky chappie! and he is just gorgeous!! I go back to work in February, so i'm really only a month behind you!
HJL - I will insist on still calling you Bexy! Your little man is just Gorgeous!! I'm so sorry to hear about you and your H. I'm here if you want to chat too.
Well W is just over 6 months. He can sit up unaided for extended periods, but falls over when he get's a bit on the overexcited side. We still have no teeth, but he's been teething quite a bit lately, poor wee mite has had the bright red cheeks on the go. he can roll over and back again quite happily. He's such a happy wee boy, always smiling! He is the worlds best sleeper! Since about 5 or 6 weeks he had been sleeping all night. He goes down at 7 and wakes at half 6. he's been on solids for a while now too and we've started to introduce finger foods which is the most fun ever! I love watching him eating. I'm hoping he'll be able to have a little bit of christmas dinner too.
H and I have been going through a rough time of it too, but we are trying hard to work through it as we are sure it's just the stress of raising a baby that has caused us to fall out as much as we have. we're also staying with my parents, so we're not even in our own place, which adds to the stress. It's our 2nd Wedding anniversary this weekend (15th) so we're planning an afternoon on our own while my sister looks after the wee man.
I'm back to work on the 3rd of February. I'm sure that will come round a lot faster than i really want it to though. My little sister will be looking after W when i return to work. she is really looking forward to it, and i'm feeling a lot better about leaving him as I trust her completely with him, and i know he loves her too.
So here is my handsome boy!
And here he is at lunch time
And of course! the festive photo

Sorry I haven't had chance to get back here till now!
VE, S sound like super baby!! I hope the sleep improves soon though. I picked up the Tomy eggs for P today so thanks for the recommendation x
Ferbs sounds like things are going really well!
BW, Mr F is gorgeous!! I am already bursting into tears every time i think about going back to work and i dont go back till March. Would love to be a SAHM but thats not going to happen any time soon. H has had a couple of interviews but no luck yet.
HJL H is gorgeous too! Considering everything thats going on you are doing really well. It must be so hard xx
RKB W is also gorgeous! Sorry to hear you are having a tough time at home too. I really hope you get things sorted out xx
P has 2 teeth and more due imminently i think going by the dribble!! She is rolling about everywhere and mastered the art of sitting last week. She is making lots of mumumum noises which always makes me smile!! Xx

I don't get much chance to get on here any more but it's lovely to read how everyone is getting on. Sorry some of you have had a rough time. I hope 2014 brings better things your way.
Heidi is just lovely. She's such a happy thing and mega chilled, which is different to the newborn who would not be put down. I think going to a childminder changed her for the better. She's in her routine there and had brought it home with her.
She's so different to Matilda though, such a blondie and doesn't really look like either of us!
She started eating and moved into her own room two weeks ago and we've not looked back since.
Her christening is on 22nd December so we are busy organising and getting ready for Christmas too. Can't wait!
12/12/2013 at 19:04
Oh, pressed send too soon! She can roll enough to get around the room. Still not sign of sitting and no teeth to report just yet either!
12/12/2013 at 19:10
Awwww Heidi is lovely. Glad things are going well for you too. Here is a pic of my 2 monkeys....
