How many weeks pregnant were you when you started/finished yours? (If you've not had them yet please answer how far gone you will be when you have them!)

(just checked back in my diary!) I was 31 weeks when I started my classes and did the one where it's spread over a few weekday evenings so probably finished at 35 weeks. I had one of the later due dates but S ended up being in the middle of the group.

Hi. Im starting about 31/32 weeks pregnant. Seems a bit late in case baby comes early but I guess also means we are less likely to forget the info. I'm also interested in how ppl found the classes as H has heard lots of negative stories and now thinks we may have wasted our money. As a couple with v little experience of babies, I think anything learnt will be useful!

I didn't do them. I did a free 2hr nhs session at about 33/32 weeks I think.

I didn't do them either, I did the NHS ones from 38 weeks (was booked on them at 34 but couldn't make the dates as I was at a wedding)

Started them around 30/32 weeks i think, ended just before i was due. Best thing i did in the entire pregnancy, i made some excellent friends that were brilliantly supportive. We're still close now and regularly meet up.

They didn't offer them where I live, so I just did the NHS ones (4 weeks of 2 hour classes). I think mine were 34-38 weeks.

Started around 28 weeks but was one of the last due...most were around 30-32 weeks and we did them over the course of about 3 weeks. One of the earlier due babies came 3 weeks earlier, and I was last due and was 10 days late so there's a good 6 weeks or so between oldest an youngest, but that never really mattered. We are all very good friends still and that was the main reason for us joining. Even the dads meet up. If you're going just to learn stuff I suspect you would be disappointed as there's nothing that you can't really learn online.

I'll be 33 weeks for the first seesion and 34 for the second

I agree with Nenas. Most of the stuff we went over I already knew, but it was good for H I think, although ultimately we went into it as a way of meeting people on a similar situation to us.

Ooh it's good to hear you did them a bit earlier Nenas. The reason I've asked is because were booked on to NCT course but Amethyst decided to arrive at 32 weeks and my course didn't start til I was 33 weeks so we missed the entire thing :( - I was thinking if I have another child to sign up again (it's for social aspect I'm interested) but they've told me that if I have more children they are likely to be premature as well as my early labour couldn't be explained and I wasn't sure if you could do NCT courses a bit earlier in pregnancy or not as I'd hate to sign up and miss out again!

My due date was September but as we knew they would be here by 37 weeks, that put me in the August due dates group.
I was about 28 weeks when we started and we made all classes apart from the last one as the twins arrived!
I'm not sure I'd do it for a second pregnancy though, as everyone was a first time parent. They do refresher courses for subsequent pregnancies though. Usually just one session.

Ah poop really? I'm proper gutted we missed ours - all I ever hear is about is how people are still in contact with those they met on the course and meet up etc. I was so close to being able to go!

As Ducky said, I've heard that they also offer refresher courses for those who already have children so it might be worth checking them out. I'm sure they could be flexible with the dates if you explained your situation?
I would recommend them. In hindsight, I'm not sure how much I learned from the course that I didn't know (from MD!) but I'm very close with all of the girls and H gets on really well with the H's.

I think they also offer a post natal course which is just a few hours but might be a way of meeting people who had their little ones at a similar time.
