I am currently 9 weeks pregnant and this is our first baby and I am 34. I have a bump but I have no idea whether its wind or water. I did you to have weird period pains but no longer experience them. I have had no bleeding (touch wood) I don't have morning sickness but always feel tired and I am off a lot of foods but do tend to feel sick every time I think about certain foods or there's certain smells (I don't even like my husbands aftershave which was once my fave lol). Not had any on-going cramps apart from back pains and occasionally shoulder pains. This may sound like a normal symptoms but I am worried until I have my first scan which is in just over 2 weeks time. I love spicy food im always carrying tobasco sauce with me. I accept everybody is different and have different symptoms. But can someone please put my mind to ease? what do you feel in your belly at this stage? apart from left and right stretchy pain.
Thank you x

congratulations on your first baba!! all what your feeling is normal, dont be going by textbooks.
in my first pregnancy I was extremely bloated felt about 3-4 months pregnant!! Honestly i felt butterfly movements at 9 weeks+ sitting in the bank didnt feel anything from that untill later on.
Im 6 weeks pregnant now and at 5 weeks felt very winded under my ribs, bloated stomach and sore breasts. had slight bleeding on monday there..went for early scan at 6w+1 and saw the sac and all healthy..just too early to detect heartbeat so up again on monday 1st. After the scan, around an hour after i began bleeding really light, the next morning it literally dripped out very stringy. Not sure whats happening tbh noone wants to know gp wont take bloods nor will early preg clinic see me again. your so lucky you dont have bleeding..i didnt with last pregnancy but had miscarriage with my first.
Rest up and await to see your bouncing baba in 2 weeks :)

Awww thank you and congratulations to you too... ive been advised to stay happy and positive and drink loads of water and eat what heart desires.... as long as the bleeding is light suppose is normal and many women do bleed and everything seems to be normal. Can you not go to the walk in centre? tell them you want to know everything is ok.... I think I would do that.... mind you I went when I had a small cramp.... Doctor did laugh and I said listen mate ive never been preggers before so don't know what to expect.... I just hope everything goes well for you... do keep in touch.... cant wait to see our little baby... think I will cry xx

Congratulations to you :)
The wait from knowing your pregnant to your first scan seems forever. I could hardly sleep due to not knowing! I started having sickness at 6 weeks which is still on going!! (I'm 24 weeks) I did suffer from sore breasts (nipples). And as for the shoulder pain that gold be due to your breasts getting larger as I have days where I feel like I've had a back pack on all day lol!! I would have cramps twards the left side of my belly if I've done a lot of walking but it would ease after a sit down. I felt fluttering like a butterfly feeling at week 14! And kicks started New years Eve when I was around 21 Weeks.
Enjoy every minute of it! If you do have any concerns speak to your midwife I was constantly on to them at the start. But first pregnancy you don't know what to expect and just need reassurance.
All the best to you :) xxx
